Lived there for 3 years. Homelessness has exploded there.

I’m just going to add my own as a recent (and initially reluctant) LA transplant.
Easy access to the 10 freeway for when you’re lonely for LA. ❤. Also use the toll roads and your 55 minutes from OC at any time. Redlands has an EXCELLENT downtown food scene, art scene and fun bars, no need to leave town for that tbh. My friends now ask to come here. Fun shopping with cute clothing, vintage shopping, and handmade-goods boutiques downtown. Incredible estate sales on the regular. The Assistance League thrift shop here carries designer brands. 💃 Everyone is SO nice that it can be alarming at first. “Traffic” in town is laughable. Even local highway traffic is still NOTHING compared to the 405 or the 101. That PTSD has still not left me after five years, so you may occasionally find me laughing in what the locals here so quaintly call “gridlock” 😂. Ahhh, Bless them.
The only thing that is lacking, and DESPERATELY needed is a good deli. My Lyft driver and I recently were bemoaning the lack of matzoh ball soup anywhere between here and Palm Springs. So just know, you’ll be driving to Palm Springs (quicker than LA unless it’s after 8PM) for that and any sandwich on a good rye.
P.S. Riverside also has very good restaurants and a nice art scene. Plus their thrift scene is very cool.
