I ve been watching your videos for a while and I am happy to tell you that you have never disappointed me I love your simple, neat, but beautiful cards.
Not sure if I watched this earlier, but enjoyed it again and shared it with one of my customers who got this stamp set. Love watching you Linda. Thanks for sharing.
Love it! Definitely needed more ideas for this stamp set. Perfect for masculine give, too. I, too, like the neutral browns, and I need to remember the grays. I also like these sentiments from "Here's A Card," which seems to be one of my go to sets.
Hello dear Linda - so sorry for your loss! Your cards áre beautiful (as always). Sometimes, less is more, right? I just happen to líke the splatter stamps we have and also often get carried away LOL. I LOVE all those layers, however, our postage rates go by weight. If I were to use all layers, it would be just around 50 grams or either $2.= or $3.- worth of postage. I don't mind that too much for Sympathy cards, but for cards "just to say hello"? For Sympathy cards, I never use an inside stamp but write the entire message. God always gives me the words I need. What a nifty trick to shorten your die cut, I'll be using it - I have a hard time getting cling stamp sentiments straight, too and my go-tos are dies or (circle) punches. The toughest Sympathy card I made was for our neighbours. They were expecting their 1st baby, a little girl and everything seemed fine, but the little one passed within an hour ... I made a card in white, using the narrow straps I always have left from cutting my card stock, put them at angles equidistant from eachother. On it, using dimensionals, I put a (punched) butterfly all in white too. Just like that.
Gosh that sounds so interesting could you send me a picture, text me 720-350-9076, I would love to see it. I know I get carried away with layers, but they add so much richness to cards. I’m afraid that postage is one of my largest annual expenses, I can’t seem to help myself. Thanks so much for watching.
@@LindaInkandIngenuity I'm so sorry, but often I forget to take pictures of the cards I create. However, that sympathy card is so easy to recreate! Do you want me to, or will you do so yourself? Layers do definetly add to the richness of cards!
@@LindaInkandIngenuity But of course! It all starts with the fact that the size of card stock differs. Ours is 11.5/8" x 8.1/4". So, in order to get 2 cards out of one piece, avoiding half millimeters, I always have a narrow strip left, usually white or vanilla. I despise waste. The strips measure exactly 1/4". This means, that I have such strips of all colors! How to use them? Glue them back on a card, horizontally, vertically, exactly diagonally or at a more jaunty slant. I prefer to keep the same distance between each strip, which can vary between 1/16 - 1". For the sympathy card I stuck to 1/4" at an exact diagonal. So I started at top left to bottom right, and moved towards the corners from there. I used Sahara Sand to stamp my butterfly, which I punched out with our butterfly punch. I used a circle die to cut out a circle that gave a nice border around the butterfly. I used dimensionals to attach butterfly to circle and circle to card base. Did this help? If not, I'm happy to remake mine and take a picture this time!

Great cards, like the grey one a little better for a sympathy-card. I also mistook it for 3D at first sight as well. The contrast is amazing.

Grey
That was my instinct as well, but SU spells basic gray with an “a” instead of an “e”. Thanks for watching.
