"I'd run around with the wrong crowd......................I'd walk on some water just to mess with your head, I'd know your dark secrets, I'd look you right in the face and I'd tell you I love you." epic lyrics, they really talk to me a lot!!! It makes me cry! I love god so much...and yet he loves me so much more!
The beauty of this song is that it makes the very subtle yet hugely important point that what Jesus did is inseparable from who he is. If anyone were Jesus they'd know your dark little secrets and give themself up for us. Praise God for being who he is. The God who dies for us even though he knows us. Such love!
Christ taught LOVE and proclaimed it as the sum of all the commandments of God. If you truly love, then you cannot sin against any of God's commandments! I think this song is great and in no way is disrespectful! Hangin' with the "wrong crowd"? I'll bet most people of His time felt that way - He was considered a rebel! When I hear this song, I reflect on the Goodness of Christ and his sacrifice for all mankind - and his Endless Love for his creation. AMEN!
Beautiful. Not only a good song, well performed, but also a wonderful message. So often we all try to think of ourselves as "the boss of all we survey." No, that's not quite the way it is nor supposed to be. Thank you, God, for sending us Jesus.
I think that Paul has this one down: Jesus was not popular with the power structures of the time (he would be highly inconvenient for the powers of our times) and he did hang out with the wrong crowd (lepers and tax collectors back then, probably folks with AIDS and government employees today), and he would have partied with his disciples (wedding receptions, right?) and most of all...Jesus would take one look at us, know us for what we really are, and love us anyways.
I echo Susan Hopkins' sentiments below & follow her words up with a hearty "AMEN"!!! If this song is not intended as an anti-Christian parody it certainly sounds like one. At worst it is a direct & hostile attack on the person & work of Jesus Christ. At best the "artist" reveals his utter lack of humility & reverence before a righteous & holy God.
You forgot, "ALL LOVING" and "ALL FORGIVING". Lack of humility and reverence - judged by whom? You? Or do you speak for the Almighty? When I hear this song, I reflect on the Goodness of Christ and his sacrifice for all mankind - and his Endless Love for his creation. AMEN!

this song made me tap my foot and bob my head like a real classy idiot. It'd have to be a good song to be able to do that :)

What's up with "I'd walk on some water just to mess with your head" It dosen't make sense!!!!
This kinda funny but I am not sure if he is mocking or praising Jesus
The LIVE version is better
this video can't be viewed in tablets, only in PCs/Laptops

Man Toby smashes this version, this is horrible.
I don't think you post good videos you rate my bad you bad
The Toby Keith version is better
This is blasphemous and outrageously disrespectful to Christ. It is a mockery of the sacredness of his purpose on this earth....
Bailey Gal WHAT EVER possessed this person to write this....sounds like Jesus will have a margarita when all is said and done
+susan hopkins sad, you don't get it
+susan hopkins can you at least explain yourself?
