@@hayley.clough Love Delight came today! This is my first fragrance from Amouage and I don’t have anything like this in my collection. Love Delight is such a beautiful and pretty fragrance. As a gourmand lover, I’m not into straight up floral perfumes but this is a floral gourmand, to my nose and on my skin. I don’t like cinnamon and ginger in my perfume but it’s masterfully blended with mandarin orange that it smells like orange creamsicle on my skin. The florals are mixed together well with the heliotrope. I love the almondy vibe. And the dry down is everything. Chef’s kiss 💋 A successful blind buy. I understand why it’s called Love Delight. My next Amouage fragrance will be Guidance 🫣
Am I the only one getting tired of the cherry craze? Not everything has to be cherry 😩It's becoming boring at this point. Like you said yourself, it's not even an unique note. It can easily be mistaken for any other red fruit. Red fruits aren't anything new in fragrance. I wish companies leaned into the lactonic trend more instead and tried to do something more unique with it instead of another fruity/super sweet, desserty gourmand.
Sirene does smell unique, despite the cherry note in my opinion. It’s so beautiful done, especially with the combination of incense and oud. It’s such an interesting mix of notes 🥰
I don't really mind cherry as such but what gets to me is all of these fragrance houses chasing trends rather than doing their own thing. Once a fragrance gains hype on TikTok then it's a wrap and all the designer houses start to release their own versions. Niche getting in on it is inevitable but it makes me wonder where the artistry is now. It's like all of these flankers of flankers madness and you can't tell one apart from the rest. Miss Dior is one example where each successive version smells less inspired than the last. I'm honestly shocked they didn't put cherry in it 😆. Really though they should just recreate Miss Dior Cherie and give the masses what they've been begging for.
I’ve tested 312 twice. If I can get it discounted I’ll get it. I like classic perfumery. It’s a cousin to Eau De Papier by Diptyque. I’m waiting for the Extrait version of Rouge Smoking.
I absolutely love bdk 312 st honore!! I do not get the oud either. But I do get a classy vibe from it, that’s the word I’ve been looking for to describe it. It’s very much like all the molecular/your skin but better scents but this is different enough bc like you said, it definitely is giving classy vibes ✨I do pick up on the tonka and I absolutely love how the tonka blends so well with the other notes. longevity is wonderful on my skin with intimate sillage and it definitely does “change” a bit throughout the wear ☺️
Omg! Sirene just arrived today and it is absolutely Beautiful! No regrets blind buying this. It's actually strong to me but I did overspray with Santal Complet in mind. It's definitely sexy and grown and now I know what people mean by a date night fragrance. So far a solid 10. I do need to test drive it a little more but it does feel like longevity will not be an issue at all
Got a sample of BDK 312 Saint-Honore, and when I sprayed it on it actually reminded me of Le Labo Another 13 - a clean ambrette fragrance with a slight animalic touch. I like it... not sure if it's full bottle worthy for me, but will keep testing it. Re Love Delight, so interesting it's mostly floral for you, while it's almondy gourmand for the other 2 reviewers (Demi and Jus de Rose?). I want to get an Amouage fragrance but will choose between Guidance and Love Delight... can't wait to finally smell it!
I love Another 13, I didn’t get that with 312 Saint-Honore. The dry down went quite floral on me and very old fashioned. The opening was good, my skin clearly didn’t react well with it. In regards to Love Delight, I wish it did lean more gourmand to me as I would love it more. I totally get the almond though, I just can’t get a gourmand vibes as such. Hopefully it will develop over time, we shall see. We all perceive notes so differently, which is why sampling is so important really ❤️

Loved this video! So happy to see Valhalla here, I haven't tried anything from the brand but I'm going to Paris tomorrow and so have been shortlisting things to check out in the Jovoy there as they have a load of brands that aren't in the London store, and this is on my list! I like Erba Pura, but as I own TT Kirke, I don't need any more perfumes that smell too similar to it, so this may end up being a pass for me. I really like Love Delight but I'm not sure it's quite love for me...the Fragrance du Bois one sounds worth checking out, I haven't fallen in love with anything from them so far (although Oud Jaune Intense is gorgeous) but agree this bottle is super cute!

@@hayley.clough Hiii! Tried Valhalla today and I really like it. It's for sure straight up fruity but it doesn't really remind me of Erba Pura as it's so much cleaner without all that musk. Also I don't really get passion fruit which I think is the main note I get in Kirke/EP, I get more of an orange/mango mix. They're sold out of it at Jovoy though annoyingly...hopefully somewhere in the UK will stock it at some point.
I have been torn between Sirene and Maraschino, however, Maraschino sounds like another fruity combination of which we already have so many to choose from. I love the quality of Sospiro scents but this one is beginning to sound generic as more and more reviews come in. In the end, Sirene won me over. Fruits with lactonic creaminess sounds divine. And that dang bottle…soooo pretty! Ordered it and can’t wait to receive it!
I must get round to trying Love Delight. With Amourage, I'm doing catch up and trying to decide what to get next from the Secret Garden collection. I've just noticed that Love Mimosa isn't on the official site anymore 😢

Does Sirene project well for you? Debating on buying it because FBD fragrances typically have very poor projection. They last awhile but usually way too close to the skin with minimal projection sadly so curious to know your thoughts because I love Minute et Demi for example but it’s a faint skin scent at best.
Hard to compare as I don’t have anything similar. It’s almost like a cherry version of Venom Incarnat by Stephane Humbert Lucas but with no caramel and more of a woody dry down. Or like Cavort but with a lactonic cherry opening. Duchessa by Gritti but with oud and incense. I can’t quite place anything as being exactly the same at this point, at least nothing that I have myself.
It bothers me a lot that sirene us 75ml bottle. That will look so bad near the 2 others i already have. Just make up your mind and make it the same ffs!! I dont want all random sized bottles
I'm disappointed with the new Maison Crivelli one - check the notes on their website as fragrantica doesn't mention the cumin , carrot seeds and patchouli 😅
i own Saint Honore, i dont experience it as classic perfume. On my skin the opening last very long i get a lot of pink pepper mixed with bouquet of flowers amd ambroxan. I dont smell any oud, iris and even tonks beans. Although it is not my favourite BDK i will definitely wear it the most often, perfect office fragrance, airy, clean not offensive but it feels elegant and reserved all what i need when i am not work.
Is the Musk done like erba pura/that strong Tiz Terenzi musk? Is it dialed back at all on the Musk? I personally get that musk in Mallow... but you like that one.... I love strong fruit. .
Have you changed your mind about Amouge guidance? I have a love and hate relationship with this scent. I returned it once because someone made a comment about the smell the same day I was wearing it and also I over sprayed it. I bought it and I don’t know if is worth having it in my collection. Is very complex and strong and I don’t know if is offensive to others
To me the nwe BDK smells just like Diptyque Papier fragrance - in that one I smell a lot of that sesame, this somehow smells the same. And to my nose they both share this really sunthetic animalic musk type of dna. Not a fan of both.
Ahhh see I like L’Eau Papier, it works well on my skin. I saw the similarities on paper test strips but I think skin chemistry also has a lot to do with how it performs.
Sirène without a doubt! Maraschino is nice but I likely wouldn’t reach for it much. I prefer the creamy, sweetness of Sirène and how smooth it is on my skin
