The half bar at measure 6, which is what is in the score, is not absolutely necessary. At measure 6, you can play the C-A as it is here but instead of bar, play the E-G notes with 1st finger 2nd string and open G (3rd string G instead of 4th). You are still sustaining the E on the 5th string with the 3rd finger. The last beat of measure 6 is the B-flat played with the 2nd finger; and, even if you wanted to further sustain the low E (despite the rest) you could. I'm not being critical, just presenting an alternative for people like myself that have trouble with the bar in certain positions. Personally, I blame my guitar, and I believe at times I could put a woodworking clamp against my finger and still get a buzz from a bar.

Is the sheet music for El Testament d'Amelia made available? I have a copy find a few notes are different? I might try this if the sheet music is available.

Why is there an explanation on drop D tuning for an advanced piece? Why not just explain that you don't blow into it to make a sound?
