I've always liked this song. Which is saying something because I don't like a lot of the music that most media considers popular. That said I LOVE this version. Claudio gives this song so much damn emotion its insane, and Chondra sounds great.
Was at this show, my buddy actually got to hold the official camera while the camera guy went to take a leak. Also got interviewed after the show. It was the best of the 5 coheed shows iv been to
Hot damn hot lady!!! :) I still remember meeting them together for the first time at a signing in NYC for Kill Audio. Chondra randomly remembered my name!!! EEEEE!!! I've since also had the pleasure of buying Claudio a beer, which Chondra "thanked" me for, since he was already quite toasted, and chatting up Claudio with my friend for almost half an hour.
The quality of this is outstanding considering it was shot on a phone, I give Apple their due credit. I'm glad you shot this, they had technical difficulties with the mics at the end of the song when they did it during the Urbana show, so I wanted to see it in full.
I'm sorry, I just love the way he holds himself lower then those he holds important, such is how I live my own life.... Umm Yeah, Like if you do this....and stuff.
Prize Fighter is not just synths, it's a lot of acoustic guitar work as well, it's really beautiful though, I loved My Brother's Blood Machine, I can't wait for the next album (Claudio confirmed a new Prize Fighter)
Blademan525 just got owned! Also, stylistically speaking, Claudio stated in the DVD which came with YOTBR Deluxe Edition that they were straying away from that "musical irony" that people associated with the band. It doesn't have to happen in every song. And, what is the point of doing a cover if you don't bring interpretation to it, something of yourself into it? I happen to like BOTH versions on there own, separate merits. Xenender clearly has a more sophisticated musical pallet.
YES! The Gotye version just feels so phoned in and uninspired. I'm glad Coheed & Cambria heard it and was like, "Hey, there's potential here..." Then proceeded to blow Gotye out of the water.
Its part of the Amory wars story, The Jersey city devils i think they're called, were a biker gang that attacked Claudia in the first comic back when it was called the Bag.On.Line Adventures. I think they have a video of the comic paired up with the songs they go with somewhere on youtube.
Um, are you sure? I'm pretty certain Claudio's inspiration for that entire album was their first break up. Wouldn't make much sense that she would sing on it.
@Colin0730 you do realise that the sentence this completely wrecks the original means that I believe this is better right? And does it make a difference if someone uses a synthesizer? Claudio is avid user of synthesizers, are you going to call his music synthesizer shit? How's Prize Fighter Inferno sounding for you? Pretty fucking synthesized and awesome if you ask me. Don't be closed minded.
Personaly I think they are playing this song in responce to Micheal Todd. If you really think about it, I think this is claudio trying to shake off ALL the shit he and the band went through because of their old bassist. Just a personal theory of mine
I know it's Devil In Jersey fuck :L I always say that, why are people saying I don't like this when I love this cover? I also like the original too and defended it?
And this is why they are my favorite band of all time. I can't wait to see them again
Insane. Just when this band blows me away and defies my thoughts, they keep astounding. Heroes!!
I've always liked this song. Which is saying something because I don't like a lot of the music that most media considers popular. That said I LOVE this version. Claudio gives this song so much damn emotion its insane, and Chondra sounds great.
I am a huge Coheed fan...and this show was everything I hoped it would be, including this cover. Amazing!
Damn, the groove!! Josh is a pleasure to watch again and again. I missed him...
Was at this show, my buddy actually got to hold the official camera while the camera guy went to take a leak. Also got interviewed after the show. It was the best of the 5 coheed shows iv been to
i love home emotional you can see claudio get when hes jamming with his wife. so much dank
So many chills have just run down my spine...
I was so stoked when I heard he came back
I've seen Coheed over ten times but didn't get a chance to see them play this, I'm jealous
I gotta say, I had a big goofy grin on my stupid face from the second Chonny walked out to the end of the video. I loved it.
Claudio and Chondra are the two of the sexiest people on earth. Their kid shall be our new god.
This song fits perfectly into the motif of Good Apollo Vol. 1. PERFECTLY.
BEST CONCERT I'D EVER BEEN TO.
Thanks for recording this, man. This is the best version of this song.
Love Coheed. Love Gotye. Love Chondra. Love this.
What!?! Claudio's wife!?! This is a badass cover....but than again...anything Coheed and Cambria puts together is badass
oh i can def believe it. coca kicks ass live. cant wait to see them again
I hope Chondra sings on a track for the new album. That has such amazing potential!
Now this song is worth listening to!
Hot damn hot lady!!! :) I still remember meeting them together for the first time at a signing in NYC for Kill Audio. Chondra randomly remembered my name!!! EEEEE!!!

Glad your doing great Chondra.. Had no idea you are singing.
Thank you - oh - so much for sharing this!
I was here, this was awesome!
NOW YOU'RE JUST SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO NEWOOOOOOO
The quality of this is outstanding considering it was shot on a phone, I give Apple their due credit. I'm glad you shot this, they had technical difficulties with the mics at the end of the song when they did it during the Urbana show, so I wanted to see it in full.
God damn...chills..
I'm sorry, I just love the way he holds himself lower then those he holds important, such is how I live my own life....
Umm Yeah, Like if you do this....and stuff.
OH MY GOD I HOPE THIS IS ON THE NEW ALBUM!!!!!
I WAS THERE FOR THIS! :D
A god worth Praise.
NEED STUDIO NEED STUDIO CLAUDIO, CHONDRA, ARE YOU LISTENING???
Far better version of this song than Gotye could ever produce!
Correction she was in Apollo 2, Gravemakers and Gunslingers. Apollo 1 was specifically made because he was depressed about her dumping him.
She was on Good Apollo 1. She sings the back up parts in the Suffering.
woww ficou muito bom!!!
precisam gravar isso!!!!
Coheed and Cambria need to get a covers by Coheed and Cambria album done!
beautiful. thanks for posting!
I just had a crazy idea. CO&CA should totally cover "Close My Eyes Forever" by Lita Ford (with Chondra on lead vocals, of course).
Coheed and C̶a̶m̶b̶r̶i̶a̶ Chondra!
Prize Fighter is not just synths, it's a lot of acoustic guitar work as well, it's really beautiful though, I loved My Brother's Blood Machine, I can't wait for the next album (Claudio confirmed a new Prize Fighter)
so much this!
By the time this tour is over they might just be more popular than Gotye for this song.
Blademan525 just got owned! I'm not really into these guys, but this cover is sick!
This is the SHIIIITTTTT
THIS IS FUCKING EPIC. I AM SO JELLY OF HIS WIFE.
be super awesome if she is on the new album with them!
YES! The Gotye version just feels so phoned in and uninspired. I'm glad Coheed & Cambria heard it and was like, "Hey, there's potential here..." Then proceeded to blow Gotye out of the water.

that would be awesome
Since he's Puerto Rican, his hair is like that naturally. He has it back with a hairband in this video.
Daaaamn
Studio recording. Want. NEED.
this, i want a studio recording of this.
Yeah im with you on that lol i think that guys wrong. Pretty much every song on that album was about them breaking up so yeah it wasnt her.
hoope we can get and encore in Reno!
Great sound quality... What did you shoot this with?
That drumming can only come from one man: The great Josh Eppard
Gotye should be kneeling before Coheed chanting "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy."
Agreed,
lol the reason they met was because she was a back up singer for the band a long time ago
wow
Release this!
She's not in Neverender, dude. If you watch the documentary, you can see their names. (they elude me at the moment.)
weird ??
if by weird you mean awesome and badass .. then yes ^_^
If they covered Helter Skelter, I would die :'3
Um, are you sure? I'm pretty certain Claudio's inspiration for that entire album was their first break up. Wouldn't make much sense that she would sing on it.
Download an MP3 of this
Listen to Good Apollo IV
Right before "Willing Well I", listen to MP3 of this
Listen to rest of album
Thank me later.
Quick question, did Gotye write this song specifically for Claudio to sing it?
I think I just jizzed in my pants
:0 can I buy this?
its the drums man, they're so nasty!!!
It is obviously about newo ikkin
This is weird, but okay. Good for them.
Fuckin awesome! Like if you agree!!!!!
@_@ this is so sick ..
@Colin0730

wheres the repeat forever button?
Chondra is no Kimbra, but then again Gotye is no Claudio
Is zack on bass?
of corse chondra can sing...i mean its claudios wife and all so it would only make sense right?
Personaly I think they are playing this song in responce to Micheal Todd. If you really think about it, I think this is claudio trying to shake off ALL the shit he and the band went through because of their old bassist. Just a personal theory of mine
new jersey devil is some devil child in a creepy house in new jersey, is that why its called devil in jersey city? or is the hockey team or somthing?
I know it's Devil In Jersey fuck :L I always say that, why are people saying I don't like this when I love this cover? I also like the original too and defended it?
why there's 3 dislike?
Actually those were two other blondes incidentally, but I thought that at first too haha
Wow I guess singing runs in the family
@ServeTheBeaver I know haha the documentary
Quick answer, Gotye didn't write this song.
What is a Gotye?
I would have died.
doubt that would happen, but shit can you imagine.
yeppers
ikr. if not i guess i'll find a better recording at youtube download it :p
PRAISE THE LORD XD
with 1k views compared to Gotye's 200 milli
hunching for the mic like that cant be good for his back
chondra: "This song's about nikki owens, right?"
Is it sad to say that it looks like Claudio uses more hair product than his wife? Not that I don't love them, but come on.
