Is the red you are talking about the same one that came with the Mario Odyssey switch? Asking because that is the switch I had, but my joy-cons aren't usable anymore Also could you show the pink with green and purple with yellow?
No so there are actually 3 shades of red. There’s neon red, which everyone knows. There’s Odyssey Red which came with the red and blue anniversary Switch. And then there’s the Japan only set of two dark red joycons. I got those ones off of Amazon Japan and they are a different shade of red than the Odyssey ones.
@@TheDreadedZero I'm not talking about the 35th anniversary Mario switch though. There was a mario odyssey switch that came out the same time as the game and it came with a special carrying case but the switch wasn't red, and the joy-con grip wasn't blue like it is in this one: ua-cam.com/video/THT_DPWW_-0/v-deo.html It looks way brighter in photos that I see then what I have, so maybe I'm misunderstanding?
@@MaxBoomingHere it’s been so long that I honestly can’t remember if the Odyssey ones are the same as the Japanese dark red ones. I want to say they’re different because I had the Odyssey system at one point and I feel like the only way I was able to get the Dark Red ones was to order them off Amazon Japan

@@MaxBoomingHere yup! Those are the Japanese ones. It’s hard to tell the difference in color on camera unless you have all three red sets side by side. The neon stands out but the Mario Red and Japanese Red are more subtle
Thanks for the great video! I'd love to see the opposite colours if possible, aka pink&green + purple&yellow. My friend and I plan on buying them and swapping one but it'd be great to see how they look on the switch before spending £120 🥲😅
I’ve had a few people ask to see the opposite colors paired together. Some financial stuff came up suddenly so I ended up returning the joycons to the store. 😞

I have both but I prefer my Pastel Purple and Pastel Green better I like the Pastel Pink too but not the neon pastel Yellow
