Poor child had thousands of nits on each hair strand and had more lice on her head than the entire planet...no wonder she was constantly scratching her head... she had thick long black hair that externally shined and one time I noticed there was one dangling and I said-"Hey, you have lice, let me take them off for you" ( that's what I did with my siblings) Good grief! I was shocked and felt so sorry for her when I saw how bad her infestation was... I was so scared to touch her hair because when I moved her hair the lice started falling off on her shoulder for they didn't have much space and stability on her head 😭😭😭 I told her to go home with me and I would tell her mom...She had 4 younger siblings -and mom wasn't paying much attention to her because she was the eldest and very independent... Her mom cut her hair short and burnt the hair... Up to this day, I still feel bad that I couldn't put myself to help them take out the rest that she had on her head... From that day on, my mom didn't let us play with her anymore because she was terrified of lice...I swear to you she always checked our head for lice and nits everytime we came home from school. "Don't play with other children, they might have lice" that's what she always said- of course I did and had lice as well... As an adult, if my younger siblings had lice, I would cut my hair short eventhough it was waist-long and buy lice shampoo and comb the apple cut hair...😅 Damn...If I was the mum, I would definitely cut this kid's hair short and use lice shampoo for atleast once a week.

My daughter got lice when she was young , couldn't afford those lice kits so I used dog shampoo . Let me tell you that tar in there got those critters & eggs popping out like popcorn !!! I had to hurry & hose them out & rinse & repeat til all is gone . Had her lay back with head in tub & bleached wash the tub after . She was clean of them & relieved ...
I used to love having head lice just to feel my mum going through my hair pulling them out. Come on, just admit its a wonderful feeling 😂 Then when my friend had nits i would go through her hair taking them out, she loved it and I loved it. It was therapeutic af 🤣
