The world of Signalis is so intruiging that it makes me really want more material on it. How is the life of people on other planets? How do other hidden Bioresonants cope with the oppression they live under? There are so many stories that could be told, both from a Gestalt's and a Replika's perspective. The world-building really lights a spark to your imagination. Rose-engine did an incredible job!
I think it would be reasonable to see a DLC or two in the future. The game was a monumental success. I'd be happy with just a short story based on one of those planets, maybe about the Empire-Eulan conflict.
@samuraicupcake289 sadly i dont think there will be more content for the game, considering that the games main mechanics are based around the setting and story of the main characters, unless the new content has totally different mechanics which in that case might have to be made in a whole new engine

Heimat - Moon orbiting a ringed gas giant. That matches 1:1 with the most notable features for Venus, Earth, Mars, Europa, and a moon of Saturn (likely Titan)? Humanity never left the Solar System... DAMN IT ROSE ENGINE I WANT MORE Edit: Oh, and that casually means that the "Red Eye" of Rotfront refers to the Great Red Spot of Jupiter. Huh...

And wasn't Vineta called the cradle of humanity? I thought it was just because it was the original colony, but their access to books would imply they have far greater knowledge on their history.
The astrolabe puzzle blew my mind. It's so nice to have to write things down on pen and paper and figure it out using your own reasoning, I wish we had more horror games with solid puzzle desing like Signalis and Silent Hill
You'd enjoy Tunic, its on xbo gamepass if you already have it, but the whole game i found myself pulling out pen and paper to note down the puzzles, it was awesome. It's not horror, its zelda inspired, but it's definitely a must play

To me it feels more like a train station, the "marching" sound sounds more like a train taking off, followed by the whistle that could be the boiler venting steam pressure or the friction of the wheels on the metal rails. The station feels quiet, empty even, or perhaps too busy for anyone to take notice of one another, maybe it is a military depot. The marching could also be a clock, train stations tend to have plenty of those, more accurately someone's perception of time, dilated, irregular, each second feeling closer and closer to an eternity.
I would say underrated game but i think its too early for that. I really hope this game gets more attention becauae it deserves all of it and more. Such an incredible experience that was.
I always keep coming back to this song, it's just so good. In a place of horror, chaos and tragedy, Orrery is definitely a break from it all. It sounds like what the facilities would sound like, they're long and wide but packed with life. The sound of either marching or a train car passing by is what ties it for me. I love this game to death, I pray for another game to set in this beautiful world that Yuri and Barbara made.
wow i'm glad that this simple but beatiful piece got you interested. in my case, i saw some epic sfm video while scrolling twitter. ofc i liked the action and horror, but the mention of sapphics was what made my decision to check it out final. i wish i could find that vid again.

That would make Buyan Venus (which makes sense considering the poison clouds that are described and how the empierial palace floats above them mirroring suggested ways of colonising Venus) Vineta is obviously Earth being the only planet to have gigantic oceans Kitezh lines up pretty well with Mars considering the red desert description. Rotfront`s planet is Jupiter (red spot/red eye) and Leng`s planet is Saturn (because rings were mentioned). Pluto probably drifted away from orbit because of being so far away. Though it`s strange that Neptune and Uranus are missing. Maybe they used them for resourses?

It's pretty much 1:1 to our solar system with the planets we got lore on, even the rings of Saturn (Heimat is a moon there) and the deadly atmosphere of Venus (Buyan). Dunno if it's meant to be our future, or some alternate reality with different planet names, or a result of Ariane dreaming it all up.
@@KB-fk3jj sadly that's entirely impossible. The best you could do is live in a space station at the edge of the atmosphere, like Bespin in Star Wars. Look up "what happens when you enter a gas giant". ;)
Like most Id just assumed this took place within our solar system, a few things had me question that assumption like the Vineta poster. I had also just assumed all the planets had been renamed. After reading all the planet descriptions, realizing we are missing not only Mars but two other gas giants, or maybe it is our system and something happened to Earth and they made the grueling task to terraform Venus. Whatever the case is I wanna know! Edit: The Orrery does work as our systems. Interacting with it says "An orrery showing a rotating view of the current relative positions of inhabited worlds of the solar system," meaning humans might not have colonized Mercury. Now I just need to know why the Eusan Nation just said "yeah nah" when beelining to Leng (which is likely Pluto) and skipping Uranus and Neptune.
Buyan is Venus and probably was not terraformed but instead is just floating over it's toxic atmosphere, as seen in may posters Vineta is Earth and had a lot of nuclear fighting in it's war, it is a ruine of a planet but was taken by the nation in the end. Kitezh is mars and has a large mining operation on it, it is also still under the controlle of the empire. Rotfront is (if I might say so) quite obviously jupiters ice moon callisto. Heimat is a mysterie for me...dunno what moon it is but it is surely one of saturns. my guess is on titan In case of the 2 missing gas giants I theorise that they simply didn't inhabit any of them... After all we only see inhabited planets named, callisto and titan are renamed but not their gas giants, leng is a mining planet or pluto, you pick which one. I theorise that we didn't see any other planets and especially the two gas giant's because titan and especially callisto are prime targets for human inhabitation because of their low radioactivity. That's probably why Ariane wasn't able to find inhabitable planets, not because they aren't there but rather much because all of them are radioactiv to a point where it would be pointless to put the energy into terraforming
maybe it really is as simple as "no, fuck that" for Mercury. establishing a mining colony on Leng may be to extend the physical reach of the Empire and flex their might
During this part of the game I kept coming back to this room just to relax a little, the music is so good and almost disturbingly calm compared to the other stuff you are introduced to in this section and especially what comes after.

I think it says in the game something like 'Spinning model of CURRENT position of planets'. Which is probably weird, because we would expect model to represent real orbital intervals of bodies, but it makes some sense, within itself.
I notice that while Rotfront orbits that larger planet--which if I'm not mistaken, it's name is Rotzitadelle--it always faces the sun. Is this right? Or is it a mistake to think this because it's just an orrery and not an actual representation of the solar system, though orreries are supposed to be remotely accurate predictions of the location of the satellites in a solar system? Just thought that it can't be always day in Rotfront because an environment in the moon is shown in the game and it very clearly isn't daytime.

An animated series would be cool, but this game is so obscure so it unlikely anything like that would come out

Going by the descriptions of the individual planets, it really looks like this is our own solar system.
Could be we are missing a few planets, Vineta cant be earth since it's the third planet and not the second to the sun.
