Given the time spot they probably got a slightly bigger budget compared to the Saturday Morning shows. Scooby Goes Hollywood is another example of more smoother animation compared to the series.
This is the first Flintstones production where Fred wasn't voiced by Alan Reed, the original voice actor. He died that same year, and the role was taken over by Henry Corden, who'd already been providing Freds singing voice for the '66 movie.
Corden also did Fred’s voice at length in many of the Hanna-Barbera Records releases prior to 1977, but I think his first time doing Fred in animation was in interstitials for the syndicated series “Fred Flintstone and Friends” which premiered earlier that year.
So many questions... I'll go with the fan theory that "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons" take place at the same time on the same post-apocalyptic Earth, just at different altitudes.
Wilma: "Come on in. Fred's decorating the tree." (CRASH) Betty: "Oh, it is a beautiful tree." Barney: "Yeah, especially that fat little ornament! Ha ha ha!" Fred: "Very funny, Barney! Now, stop with the jokes and get me down!" Barney: "Okay, Fred, okay. Don't forget your Christmas sprit!" Fred: "Oh, sure! Ho ho ho!"
Grew up watching Flintstones and Scooby doo , Jetsons oh what a child hood I had Saturday morning cartoons . Nothing like the junk that is on tv today for kids .
This where the word "Modern" from the show's theme song comes into play. You see, despite being set in the Stone Age, The Flintstones celebrate Christmas the same way that we do.

My childhood favorite. I never missed The Flintstones ...
I'm 65 and feel like a kid all over again watching it👏💯❤️👍
Great memories! Happy Holidays.
I love the flinstones.❤
Same here
Me too 🎁🎄🎄☃️❤️
The best Christmas special the Flintstones made.
I prefer the first one from 1964. I wish the writers and producers kept Hoppy around as Bamm-Bamm was growing up.
What a grand Christmas Special
Ah my childhood gotta love the Flinstones 😄
Wow, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm FINALLY started growing. And talking!
😂
Until the Flintstones Christmas Carol later on when they shrank back down 😂
Bamm Bamm grew up to be teenagers on the spinoff series, The Pebbles and Bamm Bamm show and then adults on the Flintstone movie, l Yabba Dabba Doo
@@josephclegg3562 I loved that on Saturday mornings 👍👍
When masters of Television ruled
Omg I love this movie
Wacth the Flintstones every day on hulu😅😅😅😅😅
YABBA-DABBA-DOO! 😹😸😺👍

Love it ❤

For A 70's TV special, the animators did A surprisingly good job here. This is almost on par with Hanna-Barbers'a output from the early 90's.
Given the time spot they probably got a slightly bigger budget compared to the Saturday Morning shows. Scooby Goes Hollywood is another example of more smoother animation compared to the series.
Fred: Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Huh older is better
This is not as good as the og show
Most of the stuff put out in the 70’s was done far superior to what was put out in the 90’s to today.

This was a true classic. Sounds like this version here is without the laugh track.
Don't think this one had a laugh track anyway.
The Flinstones Are Cool👍🏻👏🏻📺🎞️📽️!
So many questions...

The Flintstones were the modern stoneage family and the Jetsons modern spaceage family.
Love the flintstones christmas 🎄
Kinda weird seeing pebbles and bam bam right in the middle of growing up like this 😳 😕 😅 😬 😐.
2:04 “I wouldn’t hang it there, Fred.”
"Why not?" 😹👍
@@ArttuTheCat “Uh don’t look now, Fred. But here comes the why not.”

Fred: Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Merry Christmas from Ireland 🇮🇪
One of the first shows to feature the Hanna barbera tube font
The songs in this special were originally on an earlier HB show called "A Christmas Story " ,not affiliated with that later movie.
Fred: "No! No, no, no, no Dino!"
(CRASH)
Fred: "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!"

I feel like Fred in the morning and George at night.
WTF? Christ hadn't been born yet. The quality of the animation is top notch.
What about the original “The Flintstones Christmas”?
It's a movie special
@@EvaFull Both specials have the same plot but the first one was far better.

why do not people put the star or whatever tree topper on when the tree is on its side....

Where is the rest of it
This is actually accurate since Christmas has literally nothing to do with Jesus anyway
This is taking place long before the birth of Jesus Christ.
That's probably not even the only anachronism in the Flintstones
@@SpectrumPOV The B.C.
comic strips acknowledged Jesus in prehistoric settings because Johnny Hart was a Christian.
Jesus Christ: Amen 🙏
This where the word "Modern" from the show's theme song comes into play. You see, despite being set in the Stone Age, The Flintstones celebrate Christmas the same way that we do.
Christmas in Bedrock is an obvious anachronism. Bedrock is BC.
How does this make sense? Was Jesus a cave man?
What?! Of course he wasnt!
*He wasn't even BORN yet.* 🤯
