I love it 🎉😮trying it this weekend. Being 55, 56 in October, it’s hard to find cute easy to do age appropriate hairstyles. I also use bigen natural black rinse. Thank you
Omg! I have watched about 20 videos and could not understand how to do this and your short video makes it look so easy. I know the first part with the crochet needle might take me a minute to get but I am definitely gonna try this...pray for me cause I cant do hair to save my life 😂
@@tracycrutchfield219 aw you are so sweet! thanks for offering ur help 😊 I think I can get it if I watch this and try...only thing I wonder is how the afro hair that's wrapped around stays? do you have to use beeswax or something like that? I'm definitely gonna need a week off work to do this 😂
@@ShareeDeeJA This is a very neat way to do softlocs. If you're not able to able the afro hair at the scalp, platt it in with platt but leave some hair out to wrap around so you wouldn't have to apply it (the afro hair) at the end. Hope this helps
@@youtubejunkie444 I still haven't tried this yet 😅 keep sticking to the styles I know how to do but I like your suggestion and will try that if I can't catch this method. Thanks for sharing...really appreciate it 😊
I watched a million times and I can't figure how she secures the ends either. I've only ever had real dreads. Wish I had gone with crochet or this method. But i thought she was gonna pull the ends back thru with the crochet hook but she definitely didn't and I can't understand it bc those locs are super loose and soft. That's why they're so awesome! I love seeing them on girls all the time!!!

That doesn't seem to add up to logic. When people get braided updos the hair is bent the same way and left for a month. Their hair is just fine when they take it down. Her hair may be at risk for damage only because her braids are not done all the way to the ends. Loose hair is more fragile, but since it's all wrapped together it has support/protection from tension. Bends in hair are only problematic if it's an everyday thing, like wearing tight ponytails for 2 months. Whether natural or with extensions since the hair is loose (unsupported and dried out) and has direct tension on it from the elastic bands.
Ive done it myself before. Took me about 5 hrs. And it cost me $40. Cheap and sleak. It wasn't that difficult and i don't think i would pay someone more than $100 to do it especially if i have to wash, moisturize, and prep it myself.
Just make sure when you guys are doing these locks. You put the right amount of hair behind the lock to hold it up. You can't have a small thin piece of hair holding A large amount of hair and then wonder why your hairl fell out❤
I saw a few videos and they only put the hair under a small piece of hair... I was thinking to myself that hair is going to snap. Or that tension is going to be terrible
Thank you, just tried it with one plait, it came out perfect, a little too prefect because i couldn't get it undone... lol, I'll definitely be doing this pattern next week for my birthday photo shoot, thanks soo much for posting ❤keep up the great work 🎉
@@mudacaagreement8166 I have found that you indeed don not put any product on the loose hair to wrap and to rub it with your hands when you done wrapping it
Sis! Just want to thank you for being so transparent because I’ve learned to do the soft locs in just two days watching you. I can maintenance locs and color hair but never knew how to do those until I came across your feed. Thanks so much and may God continue to bless your hands.
Pretty and neat but I will Neva get these again unless I go back to the person that installed them! I was slap ass bold headed tryna take these out! Lesson learned!
That’s so beautiful. Those tiny locs look absolutely darling on her! I wish I knew how to do that.
She's literally showing u how to do it...give it a try, u'll surprise urself. I'm trying it...
One of the easiest hairstyles to do. I tried it on my daughter and it came out so good for a firstimer

Which hair did you use?
How do you get the ends to stay after you wrap it around? Do you glue it or what?

She basically started wrapping the hair back upwards until she got to the very end
This is a great technique for long hair as well. Thanks for sharing.

Can you please tell me what hair was used please??
Okay but y do ik how to do soft locs and braids but never got time cause of school lmao
Beautiful ❤🎉🎉🎉
Beautiful
What's the hair used to warp around the crochet
Marley hair or butterfly locs braiding hair “ says it in the pack “ .
❤❤
That looks beautiful, but it looks like it's gonna be hell to get out w/ out damaging the natural hair.
But bending the hair like that will cause that part of your hair to die.... then break off
That doesn't seem to add up to logic.

How does the hair that’s twisted around the braid stay in tact without glue?
Thanks dai❤❤❤ can't wait to try
Hey what do you use to make the end stick

True
How do you take it down?
Right!
Nice job love it.
How do you get the hair your wrapping around to stay
This looks like the absolute best method to date, especially when I consider how easy the take down should be.
I'm thinking that take down looks like frustration and scissors
@@TheHnykisssome of yall asses just impatient.
No scissors needed at all!
Go to a hairdresser to get it removed properly if you try by yourself might end up in tears 😂
Seriously
Excited to try these for our hair as I REFUSE to pay the DISRESPECTFUL prices people are charging.
That's alot of work so what is a disrespectful price?

I was wondering about the takedown😅
That's always the case with this method. It's dangerous as it relates to the take down. You could lose patience and lose hair.
Thanks for sharing I watched this video over and over going to try on my sister hair
