Clarification on the "destination fee" bonus tip. Everybody pays the same $1250 destination charge. Tesla will ship an inventory car to your local delivery center for a fee. I don't know what they call this fee (delivery fee?) but you will save this if you're willing to travel. Also note that Tesla will not sell cars, even if you travel, to a location far away from where the inventory car is located. I think this is due to the registration paperwork requirements in states that are not near where the inventory car is located. I live in South Carolina and tried to buy one in Florida. No dice. The local delivery showrooms are not equipped to handle paperwork for all 50 states, so they balk at selling cars to people who are "far" away.

My insurance company assured me that my FSD is covered by my policy in case of a total loss because it was included in the original purchase.
