Unfortunately, the concrete ruins at the top of Bang Niang Beach are a real eyesore. We still know this place where there was only one restaurant with a bar. Everything was still untouched there. We now avoid the area up there. There are reasons for this and it lies under the sand on the beach in the area of the two villas. The Tuk Tik Restaurant is very good, we can absolutely recommend it. The Bang Niang market is not that great, just a tourist market with corresponding prices. There are much better ones out there. I really like your video. Khao Lak is and remains a great place. There are beautiful corners. Thanks for taking me with you and greetings.
Ok - great vid but the Yes Going for the One and Hackett, Banks, Rutherford, Collins Tee shirts got me hook line and sinker to subscribe. I want to party with that guy!
Hi...Many thanks for watching and commenting on our video. We did the snorkeling a few miles south of the TUI Blue hotel Khoa Lak actually near the Laem Ao Kham lighthouse just north of Khao Na Yak beach. We booked the trip with Discovery travel which again is not too far from the hotel you are staying at. Their office is near the Kokotel Khao Lak lighthouse hotel on the Phetkasem Road. Alternatively you can book with them on their website - discoverykhaolak.com. We hope this helps......Have a wonderful holiday in this beautiful part of the world 🙏
Hi there! We were there mid - end January (there were still some Christmas decorations up as you can see 😊) Also, the new market is near Chai Hat Bang Niang Road, across the street from Lan La Bar. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching 🙏
Thank you so much! We are going back at Christmas so hopefully it will be fully finished by then. Loved seeing your favourite restaurants, tiewson, tuktik and give me five are our favourites too! Great video 😃
Love this video! Thank you. Would love to know your thoughts re. accommodation for a first timer? After watching this video, I've decided town centre stay rather than direct beach stay for easier access to all the amazing places you have showcased. Thanks in advance.
Hi, thanks for watching! The accommodation we chose to stay in was "The Waters By Katathani". We found this hotel to be located in the absolute perfect place to have access to all shops, bars, restaurants, taxi rank and also it's not too far from the beach! We understand completely why some people would prefer a beach hotel out the town as the beaches are absolutely stunning, but as you said, there's so much more to the place, so we recommend finding a hotel right in the centre that will give you the best of both worlds! Hope this helps, and we hope you have a wonderful holiday!
We picked The Waters the first time we went to Khao Lak, and enjoyed it so much we booked the same hotel again! The swim up rooms in particular were beautiful and we enjoyed many late night swims 😊 So we don't have much unfo on any other hotels unfortunately, sorry!
Thank you for your input - there are mixed reviews about this hotel but will definitely take yours into consideration. Have a great day...wherever you are🙂
as we are planning a vacation in Thailand early december or februari, your video is certainly helpful. Thanks. But we wanted to eat out more out of the hotel as we used to do in other countries. I just have one question, should we make reservations at restaurants? or is finding a table no problem?
Hi Ronald. Many thanks for watching and commenting on our video. We were in Khao Lak during January and generally didn't have any issues finding tables in the local eateries. We tended to eat out early evening which was less busier than later on. I believe December is busier in Khao Lak and February is a little less so. There are so many restaurants in the area you can always find somewhere to eat anyway. The local Bang Niang market is usually the busiest place for eateries but we'll worth investigating. Have a wonder holiday whenever you decide to visit....its a wonderful part of the world.
I think they're free by the restaurant if you buy food, but our beds were a little further down the beach, they were still very cheap though! Thanks for watching 🥰
Heading there next week, so excited....
Have a great holiday! 😊
Einer der besten Reisevideos die ich gesehen habe 👏 Da kommen Erinnerungen hoch.
Been there several times in the past, going again in April 2025, absolutely ❤ Khao Lak, Nanthong Village especially
Great video! Recognized só much! Now I want to go back....😊
Fantastic video thank you going to eat in those places 😊

We were in Bang Niang beach in November last year. Only saw one other couple. Very quiet. Loved Coconut beach

Amazing video. We visit in august staying at the TUI blue Khao lak. Can I please ask where you did the snorkelling.

The Waters is on my short list so thankyou for that... any other recommendations for hotels? Would you return to The Waters?

@@TravelTurtles Thank you for taking the time answering me. We can now confidently start planning and booking.
Still free sunbeds on Coconut beach?? Thx
