“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel.

Heard him once live in concert. I have never heard someone sing live better than he did. It was absolutely amazing

I'm not sure if you guys know this, but Taka(One OK Rock) has impeccable singing pedigree. His father, Shinchi Mori is an iconic "Enka" singer and his mother Masako Mori is also a great "Enka" singer. Shinichi Mori is known for his great interpretations of Enka(Japanese Traditional Blues) and it's apparent Taka has that same talent. You must check-out One OK Rocks live performances(Good Goodbye, Wherever You Are, We Are, Pierce, etc.) in front of massive audiences all across this globe. They are huge with an incredible fan base!
Heck even his little brother also a grest singer. Though not much well known internationally.
janelle...You're absolutely right on that performance, it was amazing! Come to think about it...all their live concert videos are amazing. I really enjoy this band and their songs, that are many times very personal to one or all of the members of One OK Rock.
don't forget about his brother, 'Hiro' from MY FIRST STORY. his growl and high pitch are amazing!
Taka's family, from parents to his sibling are all amazing singers! Even his step-mother (Miyako Harumi), arguably the greatest Enka singer of all-time was part of Taka and Hiro's life while married to their father.

Taka is pure japanese. His father and mother are both famous japanese enka musicians and his father has over 50 mil copies sold. One of the most succesful singers in japan. If you want to hear them, of course look up taka moruichi and look through there

Taka is a very versatile singer; he can sing practically any genre seemingly effortlessly. He doesn't usually sing songs like this one. You should check out some of ONE OK ROCK's songs, especially the live performances. They're very energetic when performing live and you'll probably have to take your hat off again. ^_~ Try songs like The Beginning, Mighty Long Fall, Clock Strikes, Deeper Deeper, NO SCARED, and We are.

Agree, their new songs are "okay" compared to the previous ones. BUT , when they perform their new songs in live i completely fell all over again for them. We are in live is great, stand out fit in orchestra ver is beautiful, take what you what live version is amazing!
Taka has such a beautiful voice and actually the live performances of ONE OK ROCK are very good! He always has clear pronunciation (in Japanese) and powerful vocals!

Omg, I totally felt him when he sang the chorus. I was super sad. It's amazing how much emotion he pours into his singing. Also I'd love for you to cover his Mighty Long Fall stripped down acoustic version. That's my favorite from them, and I love his vocal agility and finesse that he uses in that song!

I've been to two ONE OK ROCK concerts. It seems that Taka ate a music CD. His voice is very stable in live performances
Taka's parents are both enka singers. If you listen to Misora Hibari (美空ひばり）who is one of the best Jazz/Enka/any music singers I've ever herd, you can understand the style and how japanese enka music has that kinda Irish thing you herd. Its almost like Japanese Blues.His voice is very worm and jazzy. He has such a great voice.

Been a huge fan of Taka and One OK Rock for a few years now! Their live concert from Yokohama Stadium in Japan is my favorite live concert besides Twenty One Pilots Live at Bonnaroo. He's one of the best vocalists in the world hands down.

I'd seen him perform live on stage twice or may be thrice the way his voice sound on their album is the same voice he has live he's stamina is so incredible even all the jumping, running, dancing, and screaming don't seem to affect his voice.

I'm happy to see you react to Taka. I watch your reaction to Filipino singers (am a Filipino myself) and I'm very surprised to see this video. Hope you can react to more of One Ok Rock songs. Taka is a rock band vocalist and he's voice is the bestessssstttt in this field. This cover is always on the best Adele cover list.
ONE OK ROCK is fantastic live! I saw them in Denver last year and Taka has as clear a voice live as he does with the studio version of their albums. You can always tell the difference between the live versions of their songs and the studio versions because Taka tends to embellish more when he sings live. ONE OK ROCK is one of the best bands I've heard, live or otherwise. You should definitely react to some of their other songs, either the live studio jams or the clips from some of their tours in Japan.
ONE OK ROCK always amazing in live , please check another song in live version, you will not disappoint to know them. They are my favorite band.

He’s the lead singer of the band One Ok Rock and they’re one of the biggest Japanese bands this decade. They signed with an American label sometime last year and they perform with really well known American bands too.
