@@haroldbauer8724yes yes absolutely. It's a completely fresh take that's familiar enough to give you the nostalgia of the game but offers a complete different experience.
An enjoyable reimagining of Tomb Raider 2 ❤ Quite a bit different but still had the main elements from the original down pat. I don't know how you managed to get through it so fast, as I would've taken probably an extra hour or so at least to do this. Thanks again for another fantastic playthrough 😊

Combining similar levels into one level was a really good idea and it gave each level a unique personality and wonderful setpieces that kept me exploring and admiring the scenery for hours. I think the challenge here is more balanced (if you know how use the rolling tactic with gun enemies) even though some traps are ridiculously evil, very well done Sabatu! Note: I know this is not a playthrough where you pick up literally everything, but there is one interesting pick-up hidden inside the Maitreya Statue, behind the waterfall.
I did my best to only use this guide if I’m ever really stuck. I just finished the game and I feel incredibly fulfilled. Now I can confidently say that I mastered classic Tomb Raider.
Some of the parts are incredibly trickily well hidden. Like just a small lever in the dark. Or a small opening in the dark that leads to a key. Sometimes you just can't concentrate 100 %. It's better to consult a walkthrough than frustratingly running around for hours. Must of us have adult responsibilities as well at this point 😂 That said, you gotta explore first and give yourself a chance. If not, it's better to get a hint than abandoning the rest of the level (and game). I wonder how people did it back in the day without Internet
Capoo🎉🎉🎉
I am playing the game by myself, first I want to say is thank you because I'll watch this when I play it for the second time to collect all the secrets. Well, I can see that at 03:57:10 there is no need to move that block to collect the gemstone, because there is a little ramp on the floor that makes Lara able to reach it without the block's help and no need to risk yourself crossing the fire and the hacksaws

I don't think it can be said that this version is a remake or a remaster. I think the most accurate description of it is a modified version, same game and element, but making the theme really harder than the original 100 times.
It's indeed not remake nor remaster. It's more like an overhaul version of TR2. Sabatu put several levels together in a single level. Changed the story a little bit. But can't deny this game is still fun 😊
A few thoughts. The story is hard to follow given that most of the cutscenes are excised and the transitions between levels have been too. I'm not a huge fan of the level combining tactic. The Great Wall level was so strong but I feel that as the game progressed things began to wane. I definitely was not expecting a 1 to 1 remake or anything, but this version feels a little too different to me, and that comes from someone who far prefers TR1 to TR2. I don't have much nostalgia for the second game the way I do for the first, but this still felt too different and dissected.
There are huge amounts of contents are either changed or removed. Like no monks in Batkhang Monastery. Less story connection. TBH, how does Lara know her next step after obtaining the seraph? I am curious 🤣
I'm playing this right now and enjoying it very much aside for one thing: there are too many baddies. Plus, they are very predictable. You find a key - you are greeted by a large cohort of baddies. You open a door - another large cohort of baddies. Also, they seem so much harder to kill and inflict so much more damage than in the original game. Sabatu particularly loves adding scores of the guy in grey who likes to fire his enormous gun across his body in a diagonal fashion, totally obliterating Lara's health in the process. I have used so much ammo and so many medipaks to overcome this obstacle and it gets tedious very quickly, and holds up the story. Thank goodness there are plenty of pickups. That criticism aside, it's a beautiful and imaginative game which to me feels very much in the spirit of the original Tomb Raider II.
yeah at some part of the game ... can be quite challening regarding of combat. Also, I think the author wanna make the lighting more closed to the story or skybox in the background 🤔

@@stevenPCGaming Thanks for the reply! Well I just reloaded another save and re-played the level. I always keep saves of all the previous levels. The original Tomb Raiders did not have similar 'design mistakes', you could always solve a level.
