Hey Kyle, another great video. Please keep them coming. I know this episode is older, but I'm just getting to your old content. If you have time I'm super curious about your Q9 hand at 9:30... when he bets 30 on the flop it's very possible that he has a King, and maybe even the K of diamonds... We know now that he had 10 of diamonds... anyway. So, here's my questions, when the turn comes 7Di if he shoves do you call? GTO says pair plus nut flush draw, (perceived nuts in his case) he should shove, everything else being equal. Anyway, is that an exploitative decision for you based on the player if he does shove turn? Or maybe dependent on stacks? For whatever reason I seem to run into this situation on both sides at a disproportionate rate and it always sucks. Love to hear your thoughts.
If you watch many of my videos, I shove with pair plus flush draw a lot. It is just too strong. I have won where the opponent has but flush draw and my pair plus 2 blockers holds and I have ran into sets where I make the flush. In my opinion, pair plus flush draw should be a raise all in nearly always. There are certain omcs that I would just call cause they played 3 hands in 5 hours and now bet twice lol 😂. But even then I call and try to make trips or a flush. In this hand I would have snapped. This opponent would have 3 bet AQ so I currently have the nuts in my mind. I am raising to protect against a flush, so if we have to get it all in with me at about 70% to win I will take it. Additionally in this hand I beat AK and 89 pretty hard to. So with some value drawing dead and having great odds against the flush with only 1 card to come it’s a snap. Pair plus flush draws do much better on the flop because the 2 streets make it much more likely to hit the flush. Jamming on the flop has also got my some top pairs and over pairs to fold when I have raise jammed a pre flop aggressor. That is very fun to see an overpaid go face up into the much. Play pair plus flush draws fast and heavy you are likely the favorite or have great odds. If it doesn’t work out, at least you put yourself in a good spot to win. I hope this helped 👍
For the second hand, (you had KJ) against an aggressive bluffy player you describe, I might have min raised the flop to 80. My reasoning being that the kind of player you describe is never going to fold to a min raise and it should cap his range for further streets.
Normally, I do not want to give an aggressive bluff opponent the chance to bluff me off my hand. I he just 3 bet jams and I am 100% certain he is bluffing a still may fold as I feel priced out with just one pair. I like to control the pots size for the most part.
@@kylefischl6841 ok I see what you're saying, I guess for me, I'm never %100 sure of anything and I'd rather find out as early as possible lol I like how you played it though.
he hardly makes his opponents show! which is not only annoying for us viewers - but hes missing out on valuable information for his game - plus instead of kyle showing first, if the villian decides to muck without showing first - kyle can scoop the pot and muck his own cards which thereby prevents the table from gaining information on his own hands
It is something I am working on for the vlog. I typically do not make my opponent show because I personally find it rude if I was super strong and made him show like 1 pair that was completely crushed. I am trying to get better at it though.
I can respect and agree with wanting to be polite, but he did show a 10 right? I guess it really depends on the order of how things went down. Did he announce "1pair" and then you went from there? Personally If you're calling his river bluff I think you're paying for that information and he is the one being rude by showing only 1 card. When a player gets called on the river, said player is supposed to compete for the pot by tabling his cards or give up the pot and muck: not play this game of showing 1 card and seeing if he is good. If he had mucked his hand then I agree it would be rude to ask to see, but if he shows a 10, he is being coy and seeing if his 10 is good without giving up his hole cards, in essence he is still competing for the pot and i think you should see because you paid for that information.
Kyle. I've watched your videos from day 1. Love watching your development as a player and especially as a poker vlogger. I like the new additions in this vlog. KJo hand was done quite well. Let ppl hang themselves at times. Keep improving as a player and vlogger! Moving up the ranks in both very nicely. Thank you for the time to put these together.
Thank you for the support and feedback. It is definitely a journey where all I can do is try to keep studying and improving both editing skills as well as poker skills. :)
No I mean how did he act first on the flop? And then you acted first and shoved on the turn without him checking it over to you? I think all your hands histories are made up but that’s just me
Another great day at the tables makes another funny and informative vlog. I keep learning and keep laughing at your stuff. Orange City must love you with all the free and positive feedback. Finally, your vlog, like your poker playing continues to get better and better.
On the KJ hand you played it my favourite way, especially to an aggro player. Perfectly in my opinion. My general approach is to just call everything. There's a chance he has a better 2 pair occasionally and you're no good, but why take the chance unless you're near nutted, he's never calling a raise and occasionally you value bet against yourself Also, by constantly calling you will inflate your hand values in other spots and make it harder / riskier for players to attempt. With aggro players I always just strap in when those scenarios happen.
It is. It is a bluff with a smaller sizing to look more like a value bet. IE on an all or nothing board, like 4 suited, a 50% or less bet can be an effective bluff as it looks like a value bet. Normally a bluff can be 75% or higher as it puts more pressure on opponents to fold. On certain boards lower sizes meant to look like value can be effective bluffs as they can get the same possibly to folds without risking too much.
@@kylefischl6841 ok, so it's a bluff. You aren't actually betting for value. It's a bluff you are disguising to look like a value bet, which is in its essence just... a bluff. You aren't actually betting for value.
hey dude randomly found your channel. i watch vlogs frequently. I'm gonna sub. This sounds like a super soft 2-5 game, do your games usually play like this?
Yes each vlog is the typical 2/5 in Orlando. I have a full time job so I cannot pick and choose sessions to record or I would never get videos out. That why loosing sessions are also common on my channel. Thanks for the Sub :)
if you are not balancing your range with bluffs then you need to play passively as you often choose to do. but you as you are not bluffing enough you are playing face up and losing a ton of profit. You play really passively and rarely bluff.
I agree that my bluff percentage is not GTO. For me a can justify it because so many of my opponents have seen my videos and do not want to be bluffed to me to be in one. This means I get called super light all the time and I try to balance not just betting when I have it with more passive lines with a variety of hand strengths.
With 2 top pairs, I would have gone all-in at the turn. The river Ace was a bummer. What if the opponent had made his second pair with this Ace? Why give the opponent an opportunity to improve his hand cheaply?
I played 1/2 for years. Just playing and having fun was always more important than money for me. Now I have fun telling my story through the vlogs. Just enjoy your time and never take the game too seriously.
Q9 hand is a mistake to " just call" the flop. A ton of hands can continue. All kinds of 2 pairs, pair plus straight draw, anyone with a Ace or Queen prob peels. Thats an easy check raise bud. Good vlog tho. I look forward to seeing more.
If you raise with KJ two pair hand, He probably just folds and you miss out on the $200 on the river. This is also player dependent. I think you played it perfect. But Not everyone is gonna be bluffing and make a better 2 pair on that river.
like the vlog but your stoic presents sometimes loses my attention, would recommend alittle more energy behind your hand analysis. keep it up. good luck at the tables.
@@tyrocksalot its either a bet for value or a bluff.. how can it be both? And if so, do you want a call for value or a fold bc you're bluffing ? Which is it? You can't have both 😂😂😂😂😂

Good stuff
Thank you
100% of the time, if a players bet value on the turn is the same as the bet on the flop, so $30 on flop and $30 on turn, he is ALWAYS weak
Awesome man. New sub here

pretty pretty good...

Love the blog, would you consider adding pre flop stack sizes to your hand analysis?
The Aj hand, how does he lead out on the flop and then on the turn you shove into him and he calls? Just curious lol
The myth of feeling pot committed. He only had about 300-350 stack.
