Can you please listen to Japanese Denim LIVE. He has a great voice, he sounds much better live and Japanese Denim LIVE truly showcases that voice. He’s not crazy with the runs but his voice evokes a lot of emotion and his lyrics are quality.

I got into his music because i like listening to “chill” “groovey” kind of sound. I also love his lyrics. Japanese Denim is my favorite of his, the lyrics gets to me. And yeah, Daniel Caesar’s music is not for everyone. If ever you’ve listened to his whole album, you’d notice that most of the songs has a mix of rock, alternative, r&b, soul, gospel.

I get the way you feel about Daniel Caesar but his talent doesnt reside in his voice its more about his writing and his musical arrangements, i've been a fan of his since his first EP's and he really is a musical genius. I'll mos def give it to you that his voice isnt mind blowing

You guys are so very correct about his following . People really have to have a catch in that style and it's not for everyone . Daniel has a very unorthodox voice I would say in the RnB realm . I would put him more towards soul , he gives a groove and soulful expression which really is what his songs embody. As the artist behind the song I would give him credit , the beat is nice but he uses his voice to ride along side it very well which I think people can appreciate .

I think that people are absolutely in love with his style and not so much his VOCALS. I love Daniel’s music and I listen to it faithfully but if you’re looking for an incredible vocalist, he’s definitely not the guy. So I 100% understand where you guys are coming from. Great reaction always 🙏💛

It's sad you don't realize that vocals aren't everything. The bloody beatles didn't have great vocals but their lyrics, instrumentals, and the way they used the voice they had to perfection was why they were great. Not saying he's comparable with the beatles, but he has all the elements of a great R&B artist.
His voice is beautiful and it holds alottt of emotion to it and he really does show his true feelings and thoughts in his music

If you're thinking of reacting to more metal I'd suggest you to check out Still Echoes by Lamb of God or Not Ready To Die by Avenged Sevenfold. Also, keep in mind that everything from the Master of puppets album is a classic, so it would be good if you could react to more songs from it like Welcome home, Leper Messiah or Damage inc (and also they didn't sell out guys, they just changed their style and after their fifth album, and I always loved them, every album they made is worth listening to, but metal elitists who only want a band to keep making the same music forever would say that)

I think this is one of those songs that doesn't need a huge amount of vocal ability to back it up. It's like the production and his vocals synergizes well with each other. If he did incorporate a high degree of vocal ability he may overwhelm the song and make it lose the vibe he created.
Oh this is very smooth. I'm missing something extra though. Maybe a more juicy baseline or some fills. Or some more vocal flare. He kind of just follows the music instead of leads it for me. The reason Daniel Cesar is so popular is because there are so few musicians with his style in the mainstream

Whenever you guys are finished with the song and ending the video you should both say if you plan on listening to it again because it feels a little empty at the end, like you listen to a song and then it's thrown into the abyss. This was an R&B reaction but if you have been trying to find great modern soul music I would tell you to look no further than The O’My’s, especially for Ryan being a fellow Chicagoan I think would enjoy hearing some heartfelt soul coming from our home town.
