This is a long one so grab a snack and your planner and plan with me. =) Do you prefer when I talk live in the video (making it longer) or do you prefer a shorter video with a voiceover?
That’s such a good system for a busy life. I’m so glad you make these videos - there’s really a void out there for detailed planning videos. I hope you find a new home for your pooch. It’s sad but necessary.
Thank you. I agree about the void of functional planning videos, which is why I figured I just create them myself. I know there has to be others that need more function. We are going to re-home her. I think it's best not only for us, but for her as well. She should be with someone that can dedicate time and attention that she needs. My priority is my kids, not a dog, and that's not fair to her.
This was FABULOUS! I love all the detail and functionality. I also love seeing that such an incredibly person can fit everything into compact size! You’ve definitely got me reconsidering my own setup. And I love hearing your voice, as opposed to just music.
Thank you so much for your feedback. It's encouraging to know that I'm able to help others even though I'm not in the trend of pretty planning. =)
Valerie Brown I’m such a dork, I just bought the same inserts, sticker pack, and pen because of this video... I’m also gonna check out the card section at Dollar Tree. youtube is bad for my wallet! 😄
I prefer talking while your planning! It helps to hear your thought process as you’re doing it and I think that would be lost with voice overs. I think a good name for your Etsy store would be practical planner printables. That labels what you provide and when people search your shop would pop up! The one complaint I have about your videos is it makes me want to go back to day on 2 pages 🤣
Thank you for your feedback on the voiceovers vs live talking. I LOVE your idea for an Etsy shop name!! If I go with that I will definitely make sure you always have the hook up. =) Don't go spending money to go back to 2DPP just because. I'm all about saving money and using what you have. =) I have some compact 2DPP printable that I created to mimic the FC 2DPP. If you want I can send them to you to try and use whenever you get that "itch."
Valerie Brown thank you for your reply. I’m sorry it took me so long to see it! For some reason YT isn’t notifying me that I have anything in my inbox now. It used to but has stopped. Anyway I would love to have the compact printables!! That would definitely be an affordable way to try out that option before I spend a bunch of money. Thanks so much for your generous offer. I always look forward to a new video from you! Prayers for you, baby and family ❤️
Loved this! Your my fav planner UA-camr because of the functional planning. I like some stickers but I have a planner to plan in lol. Don't get me wrong the pretty planners are pretty though. For cloth wipes I cut up old t-shirts/leggings because they don't unravel. The baby blanket wipes are cute ♥️ I made some before because I got a box of receiving blankets for a $1.
Thank you so much. I never did many planning videos because I didn't think it'd be much help, but I'm so glad to know that it is. I enjoy watching the pretty decorative planner videos, but I always find myself skipping all the fluff and trying to see what inserts people use and how they manage to use them. Using old T-shirts for cloth wipes are a great idea and a time saver since they don't need to be hemmed.
I love your system, very functional, grab several ideas from you 😁☺
That's awesome! Thank you. =)
At 23:30, what does “back up daily pages” mean?
Also a suggestion: if watering plants is a chore, you might consider getting succulents like cactus instead. They’re very low maintenance, only requiring very infrequent watering.
UA-camName back up daily pages would be taking photos or scanning them to archive them into my Evernote app. I guess I should’ve used archive instead of back up. Thanks for the suggestion on the plants. It’s not necessarily the watering that’s the chore. They’re placed high up so I have to get on the step ladder to do it. And I’m nine months pregnant, so that’s why it’s a pain to do. I finally delegated it to one of my teen boys so that’s what I’ll do until I’m able to safely get on that ladder again.
When Goodwill sells items and "make money off of it" as you put it. You know their profits are for the poor and needy right?!!! So if you don't like that, you are not liking helping the poor and needy. Just wanted to point that out. I enjoy your videos and your ideas, but that was a little dismaying.
I"m not quite sure what they do with their profits which was why I said what I did. We donate to them all the time. However, I still would prefer such a big ticket item to go to someone completely free. My friend paid over $800 on it and while another person may only pay $100 for it at Goodwill I'd rather someone not pay for it at all and have it be a blessing to them and their little one. I'm all about helping the poor and needy. I'm just not sure big companies actually do what they claim for those that are poor and needy. Sorry I put you off with my statement. That definitely wasn't my intention nor my heart behind it when I said it.
