    1. Landing in the midfoot
    2. Landing with feet behind hip.
    3. Prevent over striding.
    4.Lightrunning (stand tall).

Watching you run up to the camera I immediately noticed your crossover stride. That tends to be number one reason for ITB syndrome in most runners. Try slightly widening the stride stance and that will immediately relieve pressure off the IT band. After dealing with ITB syndrome myself for about six months- I run in Vibram five fingers- slightly widening my stance immediately took care of the problem. I went from feeling the pain after 5 km to running pain free 10 km first time I tried it. No pain afterwards either - except for slight groin soreness. Forefoot running is the way to go! Cheers!

It would be great if you can show how to be sure to do all of these.

I am sure you prob mean roll glute med and tfl rather than rolling the actual itb (which shouldn't be rolled as is an unyielding structure and not a muscle) great advice on cadence and running light x

Thanks for these four tips, Will. Although they are generic (rather than specifically targeted at the ITB only), each of them is very helpful in reducing the overall risk of injury while running. :)

i will admit it is strange at first re-traing myself to do thse things but it is wokring right away!
    remaining quiet, getting that.
not sure if im plating feet behind hips?
    not overstriding - getting there
i also found i wasn't as tired and sweating as muhc, not sure if bad or not, is there such thing as not enough stride being bad.
anyway brilliant video, thanks again, sorry for 3 comments but hope this helps someone, espeically beginners like me who got scared of itb,& changing it NOW!

Azu Shi by running backwards. 😂

this makes no sense, you would have to lean forward at a 20 degree angle, especially landing with the midfoot? Maybe sprinting uphill you can achieve this???

I don’t think you can without simply falling on your face. He was probably landing with his foot in front of the hip, and now with his foot under his hip, and it feels behind?

I understand it all. But how do you actually apply this when you run alone? You can't see yourself run.

      Land on midfoot
      Small, short step
      Land feet behind hip
Light steps, low impacts, (less sound)
