This game is blowing me away ! 1st time ever playing it ... thankfully ! The VR mechanics feel perfect, huge shout out to the dev ! This now has to be right up there as my favourite VR game/experience... Thanks again for showcasing this PD. Last year i updated to a 4080, cost alot, but games like this... totally worth it ! Even setting all the graphics to Ultra, it runs silky smooth and is up there with the best in VR
Glad to see you won the channel back! You are the best you tuber by far when it comes to VR mod videos! You always show us how to install the mod and your enthusiasm towards each mod makes me want to try them all! Thank you!
THANK YOU so much! I just reinstalled my steam-version + the VR mod and EVERYTHING worked right out of the box! I couldn't believe it, because I remember some starting problems, but the VR mod seems to fix them all! I can play perfectly on my RTX 3080 i7-11700 64GB GSkill@3600
Key Features: Play seated or standing with full room-scale 6DoF Natural firearm handling-aim freely with two hands Visible player arms for added immersion (with basic IK) Physical melee attacks-swing your arms to strike Left-handed support bHaptics vest compatibility for an even more realistic experience
I’m glad you got your UA-cam channel back. It’s so sad when it takes so little to get your channel in exile from copyright strikes or someone hacking and posted scam content which gets your channel suspended.
it's so amazing to have those games in VR. There is so much potential here for older games and Crysis is a good example how such an old game still looks and feels great in VR just due to the fact that you can experience it in "real". The graphics are very basic compared to newer games of course, but they are still better than standalone VR. I never played much PC games in the past 40 years, so all those mods transport me into a new world to experience and explore. This mod works very well, although the game does not make use of hardware GPU that much, so my RTX 4070 Ti SUPER almost goes to sleep, whereas the Ryzen 7950X struggles even at native 72Hz (see performance test videos on my channel). The game only uses 16 cores, so my CPU is massively under-utilized. Nevertheless, the game runs at 72Hz with SSW activated on my RTX 3070 Laptop at HIGH quality settings in Virtual Desktop and on my PC with the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER & Ryzen 9 7950X i can get a good experience with 120Hz+SSW+HIGH. GODLIKE mode in Virtual Desktop does not work here, since my CPU cannot handle it. I guess even the 5800X3D would perform better. I noticed the recorded game footage stutters in this video. I guess it is recorded natively on the headset and settings are tweaked with Quest Game Optimizer, which i also use. But it seems that the recording fps is fixed to 60fps or set to default and that causes stutters in the recorded video if the actual game runs at any other refresh rate. Or the video was edited without frame interpolation turned on in the software. I did many tests to record and export a smooth video for UA-cam and i either i play at 120Hz+SSW, which can be recorded at 60fps by just leaving out one frame or i record at native refresh rate (works up to 90Hz on Quest 3) and then use DaVinci Resolve to export the 60fps Video and using the optical flow + enhanced faster + medium settings for frame interpolation. Maybe this information is helpful.
This made me want to play Crysis 2 again today just on my own. I wasn't feeling like being on camera and wanted to have some fun. I'll bet the VR looks awesome! Can't wait to see Crysis 4 one day!
Yr a Gem PD, the game i didn't know i needed, runs incredibly, less than 10 dollars to buy on GOG, and wow does it look incredible ! Thanks for showing this bud !
Lost the whole day to this. Amazing mod. Loved farcry but found it fun, but hard in VR. This is endless fun taking down compounds with superspeed and punching people away
Hey PD, I downloaded the mod last night and loving it in VR. I know you have the same card as me, 3080Ti, and I had a question. Are you getting any performance issues? I get almost like rubber banding when moving most of the time, and in some events the performance takes a dive especially in buildings with a lot of enemies. If you’re not, I was wondering if you had any tips that made the game run smoothly for you. Great video as always.
I had no issues, check your CPU and RAM buddy. Also try turning some settings down. ALSO Steam has a bad habbit of upping resolution too hig say 130%. So i would recommend re-installing Steam VR so its back to its default settings!
Hi PD, went to download on steam and it says "Notice: Crysis is no longer available on the Steam store." If you scroll down there is an option to buy the "Buy Crysis Maximum Edition Includes 2 items: Crysis, Crysis Warhead" Is this the one we need to get ?
Got it all set up but how do you launch it using the quest 3? Through Steam Connect? When I launch it it automatically goes to my Index. Does that need to be disconnected? Thanks for any help.
worked great for about 20 mins, then i lowered the resolution in the VR menu and then it crashed and after uninstalling and reinstalling it wont start.
Ohh crud, I don't have my original Crysis CDs anymore, only the newer remastered Steam version. D'oh! Well, it would have been fun, but similar deal with the recent Halo VR mod needing to be the original version. Some of my VR dreams just won't easily pan out. LOL
Been on the git hub site, does seem you will need a beefy pc to run it. On the CPU side, expect even the most powerful CPUs to struggle and cause reprojection! I'd recommend playing on a Ryzen 7000 or 5800X3D or an Intel 12th gen or up. Expect more issues as you go down. A Ryzen 3000 is not going to provide a very good experience.
Crash city for me I tried genuine ea version I managed to get on the beach with settings on low any other settings it just crashes. If I try to increase the settings it just crashes again, I'm also stuck in items by 800/600 which makes it look pretty awful, I tried steam link and virtual desktop same on both so I downloaded a cracked version as I own the actual genuine version same for that as well so I don't know if it's an issue with my amd RX 7800 for my PC itself this is a real share because I was absolutely dying to play this game again after so many years. Can you post your version your game settings and how you are connecting your headset to your pc
Can you see your feet when you look down? Do you still have your full body? I cant tell from watching the video [edit] I visited the site but still not clear cause at 3:44 you can see your feet? I like to see my body in VR, I'm just finicky like that lol

Skydiving in VR would be the closest I'd come to the real thing. Me and heights - nope! Nice shooting!
I want to see your reactiuons m8, make sure you record! ;)

And Crysis 3! ;)
I wonder if anyone is going to VR mod Medal of Honor: Airborne. That would be cool.
Wow bhaptics support even! Def doin this one!
Thank God your back 🙏
Thanks buddy
This looks absolutely mental. I'm scared to try it-it might be the only thing I do for the next six months!

Happy to help m8
going to play it now, thank you so much
Far Cry comes to mind. Still waiting them to vr, although l don't know what the situation is nowadays (if anything).
There's been a MOD for that! ua-cam.com/video/JtU6HskKasM/v-deo.html
Why can’t there be easier ways to get these games to run in VR? Very odd in 2025 this still is so much of a pain in the ass!
It takes 2 mins see the start of my video.
That was a great game back in the day, still looks amazing - I shall be buying again
70% off on GOG m8
@@ParadiseDecay Yes got it cheers
This looks good! Hopefully it will be Half-life 2 mod -quality!
"This is one of my all time favorite games of all time!" Lol. 😆
It is.
Oui. Quick question. What is in on your head, under headstrap? What purpose does it have?
A cap to keep my Quest 3 clean so I can show other people when they come round.
Don't forget gog has it on sale, 75% I think.
I would kill for a such brilliant mod for Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 and 2.
Geat FIND I'll pin THIS MESSAGE!
£3.99!
Yeah, KDC or KDC 2 is on top of my list when it comes to games I want to play in VR.
Lost the whole day to this. Amazing mod. Loved farcry but found it fun, but hard in VR. This is endless fun taking down compounds with superspeed and punching people away

The Original is £3.99 on Gog right now apparently
You just need the Original Crysis NOT the remaster. It's also on GOG for 70% off.
@@ParadiseDecay Awesome got it for 7$
Yeah baby!!
On sale on gog atm
Looks great that pd..don't normally do mods apart from the steam workshop but this doesn't look too hard to figure out.
It's EASY PEASY
Is the VR mod based on the remastered or og version?
OG only the remaster DOES NOT WORK.
Does this work on the psvr2 headset with of adapter? Is it better than the quest 3. Thanks
It should work with PSVR2. I know AJ featured it in a video. ua-cam.com/video/BtBCTFsYqck/v-deo.html
Why i don't have VR Settings in the menu ?
You must have done something wrong.
you didnt use your invisibility mode or extra strength mode how do you activate that PD? Great game Crysis
Right click the RIGHT Thumbstick to bring up the suits menu.
@@ParadiseDecay Thanks bud you may have used it i haven't watched the entire video yet
Can you still get? original Crysis and what format is it for? Is it for PC. Thanks love your work. Dave
Its the orignal Steam version. But its 70% off on GOG right now.
Does steam vr also have to be started or is crysis exe enough? file to execute?
Got it all set up but how do you launch it using the quest 3? Through Steam Connect? When I launch it it automatically goes to my Index. Does that need to be disconnected? Thanks for any help.
Is the game still available i cant find it i see it in a bundle but it says n/a
Its on GOG 70% off.
Awesome🎉
worked great for about 20 mins, then i lowered the resolution in the VR menu and then it crashed and after uninstalling and reinstalling it wont start.

Can you tell me what version the original game is ?
any tips for performance. 32gb ram and a 4070 on an i9 the game runs fine but textures pop in constantly
you can try to reduce the screen resolution of your headset under the steam vr settings. If your headset is 4k maybe turn it down to 2k.
Been on the git hub site, does seem you will need a beefy pc to run it.

Will it work with valve knuckles?
No idea sorry.
@ it was MSI Afterburner in the background. Lost 2 hours of my life to figure this out. Real Crysis 😂

it's scary that some people percieve analog reality within a digital reality. what else do you see as "real" in your daily lives?
