@@sandwich6229 The problem with Overwatch's balance is how you can create SO much more value by swapping to a counter hero instead of sticking it out with one you may be mechanically better at. The WORST offender of this is people switching to Sombra against Hammond. You already have to be twice as better than the other tank to dominate as Ball but when a low effort Sombra is constantly hacking you and only you, the difficulty increases exponentially usually to the point where you have to switch off Ball which is toxic for any game's balance. If a character makes it impossible for another character to function at all, your game's balance is broken. Ball is THE most fun character in the game with a high skill ceiling making him feel very rewarding to play as. But Blizzard doesn't give a fuck about game balance so they shit on him constantly. This new "rework", for example is a joke. It doesn't actually address any of the issues with the game that Ball players have to constantly overcome. It's Blizzard's way of spitting in our faces.
It’s literally as simple as “we gave ball a new passive where he is immune to hack and magnetic grenade” but they refuse to do it lmfao. Keep in mind venture has 3 unique passives: Increase melee damage, shield creation, and standard dps passive. Ball has none that I know of.
how do the devs think the game is balanced when it is more effective to swap off a hero where you have the most knowledge. Every hero should be viable when played at their skill ceiling. Especially a hero like ball/doom/tracer/genji.
The issue isn’t countering the issue is some characters have abilities that soft counter (mei slow / wall, brig bash, genji deflect) which help you deal with some opponents abilities or playstyle, but other characters (sombra, cas) just fully turn off your abilities without having to hit a skill shot (Ana sleep, sig rock). They turn an ability shooter into a target range and fully punish anyone trying to have fun

I understand that counters are healthy for the game, but not when they literally make you unable to play the game no matter how you play. Its actually absurd that sombra is still in the game. he'd be broken. He doesn't need buffs imo, hes just an insanely unhealthy character with the way ow2 has turned into counterwatch. all his rework needed to be were some changes to sombra hack interactions and cc/damage immunity so he isnt unplayable into mauga
I love how they did a useless “rework” and added another hero that can boop ball and fuck up his momentum. That brig, Lucio, venture, dva comp was so fucked
