Awesome! I didnt want to come off sounding like a dick or anything. I've been wanting to start a channel myself just to show off ideas I have, but I dont know how legal they are. One idea is a silenced black powder gun made entirely out of non metallic items, preferably cardboard so it can be dissolved in water and rubber bands for springs. Another idea is a remote controlled car with a fpv camera and some kind of weapon, like an airsoft gun or one of those 50 packs of whistling rockets. All easy to do and lots of fun! Not sure if that's your field of interest though.

If you want to actually make RDX, you need to make a nitrating acid from nitric and sulfuric. At no point in any of this or your synth is a nitronium ion generated, and you can't get nitro groups without them.
If the acid solution heats above 30c it will not explode. Most recipes call for heating the hexamine acid solution to 50c after all the hex is added. But make sure you stir the entire time if the acid touching the glass is hotter then acid not touching the glass you will have a run away

You can not set RDX on fire to produce blasting effect, it needs to be compressed and set of with a blasting cap. RDX is a metastable compound that is why it is the most popular explosive used (C4), its very insensitive.

It's not illegal to explain what it's made of. Some of the ingredients you are going to need a special licence to legally get to begin with. Getting those ingredients illegally won't be easy.

If you want to actually produce RDX, nitrate your hexamine in >5C nitric acid first to get HDN (hexamine dinitrate). Then run this reaction.
