DC Comics, I think we all found a new editor for your movies!
When they show Jason's death in Batman Solo film, this has to be the background song.
DCEU has some tunes that are so beautiful that deserve to be re-used many times.
It was that thought that gave me the idea for this! I really hope they do.
A batfleck "Batman solo film", ouch that still hurts. Perhaps one day....
@@markhoitsma512 Oh man, 5 years ago...I'd never have imagined that the DCEU would get so destroyed, we may have some good movies and shows but it kills me that it's likely we will never see another Cavill Superman movie nor a Battfleck movie...At least we got the Snyder Cut but it could've been so much more...
this is perfect, they need to make a red hood live action movie
I feel like a live action version of this would be such a cool idea for an intro to Affleck's Batman film.
this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
Thank you!
+Simon Colton (SCOLTON97) Sealy no joke. I was about to tear up
If they wont start the next Batman movie (Affleck one) with the Joker killing Robin, I am not sure how I am going to feel about it.
I would go to DC and kill the director and just take the place myself for what the fans want lol
+TreePlayz Games but do you know the difficulty on making a film like that
+Carsamia Haromir and that's why we have fandom to help us :D
+TreePlayz Games agreed
but first they have got to BRING dick GRAYSON !! the best Robin!! with the best batman!!that would be so epic and the n with the progress of the DCEU then show a history of the tragic Jasons death
This soundtrack makes me think that Bruce just kept thinking, "Stay strong Jason, I'm almost there."
Can somebody please make sure Snyder sees this?! Be a great intro to solo Batman 1. Even if Jason isnt in it, it can provide more vivid backstory behind a darker Batman and make this the official opening theme to future Batman movies
I'm definitely not against either of these ideas!
Alex Wayne well now affleck has left directing the batman movie
soxbaseball0328 zack snyder made a great intro for bvs
Unfortunately Snyder went with a different approach, It was Nightwing who was killed by Joker, Instead of Jason
This was Zack's idea of BvS. He combined The Death of Robin with the Dark Knight Returns comic. The tragedy of this story becomes more painful when it was Grayson who died.
Beautiful Lie really fits with this moment.
Literally how Batman V Superman should’ve opened to show Batman’s pain and loss of hope with Robin’s death instead of the Wayne murders because this would be a better reason as to why Batman brands and kills criminals. Losing Jason would be more painful than losing his parents and would be Bruce’s greatest failure in his life.
Unfortunately Snyder went with a different approach, It was Nightwing who was killed by Joker, Instead of Jason
It also put the creation of a planned Nightwing stand alone movie in the trash because they had no Nightwing now for the DCEU cuz Snyder killed him off
I am not excited for the snyder cut either, I don't agree with Snyder warped version of how he views these DC characters and his 5 story arc would have killed the DCEU off earlier.
When he chose to leave it gave WB & DC a chance to salvage the DCEU before it crashed and burned.
Grayson being the dead Robin adds more depth and pain to be Batman's Greatest Failure because he lost his first son before he got to meet the second. Hence it also explains why he kills and brands criminals
Agreed we already know about the death of his parents and if Snyder said the death of Robin was what made him dark and unforgiving in bvs then we should’ve seen TAHT, he shouldn’t have had to explain a missing crucial element from his film we would’ve understood bmans stance,
the Wayne’s death should’ve been deleted . I love the guy but the Robin thing is mainly what I disagree with Snyder mostly because it has so much potential in opening the door to the batfamily (I mean Jason Todd who gets revived by the Lazarus Pitt by the league of assassins, ras al ghul, talia CMON!!!! )they haven’t gotten proper live action justice.
omg YES, SOMEONE did it. I wrote a script treatment for a different version of the movie which truly focuses on Batman going down a dark path when he comes out of retirement. The opening sequence is exactly this video and then jumping to 2 years later when Batman makes a come back following a mass shooting between rival criminal organizations in Gotham. The Yakuza has been the new player in town taking advantage of the absence of batman; they have been trying to acquire a bigger share of the city by either establishing partnerships or by force. The mass shooting leads to 50+ dead and more injured. Gotham's crime rate has been rising high ever since Batman retired. This was the event that pushed Bruce Wayne out of retirement. Batman comes back and this time he is killing, torturing, branding. He justifies it to Alfred by saying that "I was a coward. 20 Years in Gotham and it was the same dance... I catch them, then they are out and so goes the dance. I am no longer a half-measure, Alfred... this time they see me coming, they know there is no redemption". Superman's role in the story is to save Batman from himself, from becoming a monster, ... the conflict stems from Superman wanting batman to either go back to retirement or stop his extreme tactics... They are two confrontations...the first happens in Metropolis where Batman tracked down a Yakuza base of operation. Superman shows up and stops him from beating the last man standing to a pulp. The second confrontation is inspired by the one in RED SON. Batman lures Superman to a red solar cage.... until that point, Superman is clearly superior and is really pulling his punches just like in the animated Dark knight returns. Then, When batman has him exactly where he wants him to be...he activates the red solar lamps that are amplified. Basically, now they are almost on equal ground with Superman becoming exponentially powerless. The fight is essentially a mix of brawling/wrestling/boxing (reminiscent of the last fight in the movie WARRIOR)... Batman doesn't even try to be martial art expert, he just wants to take his frustration out on Superman. The fight is done in choreograph in such a way that it looks like two friends/brothers fighting.... it is intense, visceral and shot as a one-shot long sequence... no quick edits or shaky cams. Just two guys going at it.... no one is trying to kill the other or be especially lethal, it is just about dominance and making the other one submit/tap out. The fight ends with Batman putting Superman in a chokehold... and saying"...In all your years to come, in your most private moment... I want you to remember this moment, I want to remember to stay out of my way, I want you to remember the one man who beat you" ... to which Superman replies " Bruce, this was never about fighting you, you used to be better, you can be better... I know what happened 2 years ago, you lost someone and you blame yourself. You stopped fighting for this city and many ppl have suffered because of that. You blame yourself for giving up on your city and letting innocent people be victims. I get it, believe me, I do. All the lives that were lost when Zod tried to save my people , I blame myself. I could have done better, I should have done better. I chose to save this world but at a great cost. It still haunts me that so many people died because of me. But Everyday, I thrive to do better and save as many people as I can. It is not too late Bruce, you can still be the Batman you used to be. You are still a good man Bruce, don't let your anger and pain control you, you can rise above and be the symbol of justice Gotham needs you to be. I will never give up on you." In that moment, Bruce realizes Clark is right ...he let's go and there is a long moment of silence... no score/music or cuts, just silence and the camera fixated on the two lying down all beaten up and defeated...one emotionally and the other physically... then we see Bruce getting up, he extends a helping hand to Clark... possibly the most iconic DC Cinematic moment ever. It's the beginning of a friendship.
Holy shit dude this is beautiful, this is how you do BvS not shoehorning in Wonder Woman, Doomsday, Parademons, Steppenwolf, Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg.
Dammit, you should have been the writer/director of BvS. This is pure genius! I applaud and salute you, sir. If they do a reboot, it should be you at the helm. :D
This is what BvS should of been.
Darth Destructus they aren't doing a reboot
Darth Destructus too much time. Money and effort into the DCEU so they are just trying to improve it plus a lot of fans like the DCEU including me
This made me cry.
Congratulations. You made this sequence even sadder than it already was. I hope you're happy with yourself.
haunting, tragic, beautiful edited. this alone is the perfect pitch to WB for a live action movie adaptation of A death in the family.
Thanks so much!
my partner....my soldier....my fault.... amazing work man
I hope they do this for the solo film. This soundtrack is just perfect for a Batman with a long and tragic past.
Great job BTW, the way you edited the scenes together with the music is amazing
+RCBM Mines Thanks! Yeah, it's how I got the idea for this - I really hope Beautiful Lie plays (or a variation of it) if we get a flashback to Jason's death.
Not going to lie, i shead a tear watching this... Amazing job bro!
This is honestly so eerily beautiful
This made that scene so much better
I saw this years ago and I still find it amazing.
I wished that this was how the intro actually played out. It's way more effective here.
This honestly would have been a better opening for BvS.
2nd dat
It wouldn't have made sense in the context of the movie and it's plot
Mister Deadpool True. What I don't get is why they showed a close-up of Jason's suit when he's never mentioned, not even indirectly, in the movie.
+L0L L0L L7L it explains why Batman is more violent
I agree , it would've given you a more emotional connection with batman, it would've made since since as stated before they zoomed into the suit... and the only response we got for that was a quick quip in suicide squad, then again I wouldn't have wanted to watch the travesty that is the Leto joker do this scene, it wouldn't have been as powerful
Oh my gosh. Right in the feels. :'(
AGAIN!
I've been saying for a while Now that somebody had to do this, I even started listening to the song whenever I read the comic
This still gives me chills
Awesome! I love how many renditions there are of Beautiful Lie's intro.
Great choice of which pieces of the original sound track to use. Very well done.
Bruce. I forgive you, for not saving me. But why? Why on gods Earth is he still alive!
Chills down my spine. Amazing idea.
The jokers laugh as he exits fits very well with the music. This is amazing
if this is not perfection than I don't know what is
That is the really beginning from BvS and not the 100 kill version from Bruce Parents Death.
That is Amazing :-) Good work!!!
Perfection
PERFECT JUST PERFECT!!
Simon, u my friend, just gave Ben Affleck, the ultimate idea for his sequel in Batfleck franchise
well done!
Death in the family... Love this one..
This is a goddamn masterpiece
I knew I wasn't the only one who thought about it
WHAT THE FUCK I'M CRYING
I wish BVS started like this
Holy shit,this is amazing.Good job.
My girlfriend has never heard of Jason Todd and I'm gonna show her this to introduce her to the character. THANK YOU for making this!!!
I got chills!
Thank you for this. It was beautiful.
Apparently the Joker disliked this?
The whole thing is amazing, but my favorite part is from 2:20 onward. It’s so hauntingly tragic, yet beautiful. Fantastic editing work!
Masterpiece.
I feel as though this should have been the third movie in the DCEU - the previous two being Man of Steel and then Wonder Woman - . The movie would begin with Batman & Jason bonding with each other, representing the two in a more relatable and warmhearted light opposed to enacting their daily routine of crime. After the film provided enough weight for us to care for the two characters, the celluloid would transition to the scene displayed to us in the video-- a scene that tells the audience how badly Jason needs Bruce to arrive, clinging onto any fragment of hope his bloodshot eyes can grasp; only to be blinded from the reality not far ahead of him. The reality that Bruce, his lifelong friend and father who was the only man to give him a chance in life, would never make it in time to save him from his agonizing torture.
SMH nicely done brother.....beautiful
Would be awesome if they put this song in again for live action under the red hood
Hey everyone, you can find all my latest video edits on my new channel here! ua-cam.com/users/SCOLT7

Warner Bros. should take inspiration from this.
Am I the only one who cried
Amazing.
amazing! I've been working on writing a short Batman fan film and watching this has inspired me alot!
That's awesome, thank you! Feel free to share it here if you like!
In a way this has kind of ruined Under the Red Hood for me, because I know the opening scene won't be as good as this edit
Sorry! I think... but also, thank you.
Just put this on then skip to minute 3 of UTRH
No
this one or the "The Dark Knight Returns" one
great work bro amazing
Stop fucking with me

Just watch this on the dark knight return ❤️
This is pure perfection. Amazing job
Thank you!
oh my god this was amazing
Awesome.
Really good man!
Simon.
Wow. Well done.
I wish they did this with batman vs Superman had a recap of robin death by joker instead of the endless version Bruce parents death, it would of made sense why Bruce started to kill.
awesome!!!
I bet that one dislike is the joker
Best intro imo
Very Nice! Well done!
Great work man

Inspiring
Masterpiece...
Crying.
I hope we get this in titans s3
I hope we get titans s3
Duele mucho ver ésto!!!
Jesus Christ, this is fucking superb.
This made the movie so much better, Hand Zimmer makes everything better. This theme is very appropriate for what's happening, and I'm pretty she's this isn't the opening, but it'd be a lot better if it was.
First he lost his parents
Then his adopted son "Robin"
Jason Todd was Batman’s greatest failure
fuck me this is so good. Please DCEU, cast Casey Affleck as Robin and do a opening scene like this in The Batman.
xxjareexx
imo taron egerton would be a good choice for Jason Todd
HAHA Then why did you send the boy wonder...... to do a mans job?
Silly Batman. If he had any backbone, he would have done what needed to be done and killed Joker eons ago.
Every life that was taken from the day after his first victory, is on his hands.
Remember: "The only requirement for the triumph of evil, is for good men to sit by and do nothing."
But what about Gotham? "This city will never know how lucky they are that I never crossed that line. Because if I did step into that abyss, I take all of Gotham with me." If Batman killed Joker, then there will be no more good people left in the world.
Khairat Kheader what? why? He didn't hesitate to kill thugs and criminals. The ONLY thing that makes Joker special is that he is insane. Otherwise he is no different.
Look he maybe killed people in the early days of comics and in BVS but we're talking about the fact that Batman is the beacon of hope and justice in Gotham. And he knows that the only way to achieve that hope and justice is to set the no-killing rule. That's why he won't kill The Joker. Bec. if he killed him, he will be trading one psychopathic killer with another.
Khairat Kheader Look at "The Dark Knight" and tell THAT to 2 face.
No matter HOW many ways you look at it. Batman killed Dent.
Is Dent somehow more special than Joker and made him worth killing?
No! in fact it's the exact Opposite!
Dent was the one worth SAVING, while Joker was the one worth Killing.
Remember, ignorance and innocence are not the same thing.
If you know he intends to cause harm and would not hesitate to end a life, and you have the power to prevent that from happening, but you Choose NOT to, then when the bad things happen, they happen because you Let Them Happen.
Because deep down, Batman is just as insane as The Joker, and deep down, he's fighting because he enjoys it. That's part of Batman's psychology. He does enjoy the thrill ride The Joker gave him.
Jason Todd Get Wreck Dude!!!
awesome !!
