Thank you so much!!!! I bought this keyboard in 2008 and never knew how to record track by track because I didn't feel like reading all the instructions so I sold the keyboard. I went online two months ago and bought this same keyboard and I said this time I will read the instructions. When the keyboard arrived there were no instructions..lol. I was lead to look at your video at 6 am this morning and I am so thankful for you!!! You made this soooooooooo simply!!! I never knew it was this easy. Now I understand how the laydown track by track. Thank you!!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!
The way you showed us how to do this was filled with errors, or should I say THE RIGHT ERRORS. You were re-learning how to create tracks, but if you didn't have the errors, we wouldn't have known how to correct them. You were able to make some mistakes and showed us how to correct them, and I can't thank you enough!
This video is AMAZING brought back so many memories of me going in Guitar Center making beats and storing them on my floppy lol. I never owned a Triton I always wanted one but I was to poor to afford it. Today is a new day. Do you know any good sources of where I can buy a KORG Triton?
Haha! Me too. I would go in there and program stuff on the KORGS. Musician's Friend is a good source. Keep your eye on them. www.musiciansfriend.com/keyboards-midi/used-korg-triton-pro-76-key-keyboard-workstation/116778540?rNtt=korg%20triton&index=2
How can you export a beat made on Triton Classic to a DAW? Is it a matter of exporting .smf file and importing it it to eg. Cubase and using Triton as multi-timbral sound module? That's how I use it with Yamaha MO, wonder if its any different
To be honest, I usually record using my audio interface to my PC and then clean it up and make a loop out of it or have it play for the entire track. Its a bit of an exam.
@@apostlestephenchristianvid9619 most of the styles are accessible from the Combi or program banks. You do have to activate a certain button ON to make it work on the right hand side ie to make it loop. I will create a video now that you ask. Thank you.

Hi. That beat sounds excellent. I have a Triton Classic too. I guess most of the steps you explained for recording this beat can be used for Recording a song. Am I right?
@azexperiment. I have this same model. However when I try and sequence then switch to track 2 or any track it does nothing and keeps me at track 1. Any ideas?

@phillc hi Philip I really appreciated your help ,it was night to see the way to record .I think I need a little further assistant . I think I press something wrong trying to figure how this work.
@phillc I press disk like you show on your video but on my screen it nothing like soft word but no legible .Is there any way to reset the disk like manufacture or reverse .I don't know what I press that don't let me use the disk at all
I have had like 6 of these boards and never really knew how to use it. The manual has a million pages. Wish I saw this video before I sold mine. I knew how to replace the keys better then sequence in it. I mainly just used it to play and pretend i was a good keyboard player
Haha 😂 I feel you. I was fortunate to learn real early the KORG system and it just transfers to all the other keyboards. Back in the day 1990s when the M1 came out I was fortunate.
But when this was posted the Montage was out and has a better touchscreen than the Korg Kronos....but when Triton (1999) came out it was the best workstation synth for years. Now the XF (2013) came much later than the Triton, I think the XF was top notch, I loved, it but the Korg Kronos (2011) pretty much shit on everyone. The other boards (yamaha, roland, etc) still did well though because the Kronos was so expensive. There have been 3 versions of the Kronos. More if you count the recent colored models (red and platinum) I don’t count those. I tend to dislike like Korgs implementations but I love their sound.
Korg Tritons are awesome Phil C 👍🏠🦊

great job man, my tritons 21 years old.this brought back so many memories.thanks alot
The sound and the sequencer options were ahead of anything, even the DAW of that day! I've worked on this around 2000. It is an amazing workstation!

Korg workstation sequencers are a great alternative to MPC sequencers. I use both
The Triton and mpc sync up like hand and glove your right though Korg and Akai kept their sequencers really simple.
How do you switch from tone to tone in performance mode, assigning them?
Great question! I have a video coming for this based on your question Dennis. So how does one shift sounds in Sequence mode?
Dennis, check this one out when it goes live: ua-cam.com/video/MtO4ZNJfx0A/v-deo.html Let me know if it answers your question.

I do know that instead of saving it you can track it out into pro tools via midi sync and audio outs thats what i would do. floppy does not hold much

You need to physically move the dial from Track 1 to 2
You may need to update the driver for the Triton. I think I had that issue at one point. It's been a while though. Check the Korg website.

How much kilo this keyboard?is it discontinued keyboard if wanna buy it?,I love too
You can find a used one for under $800 I would imagine. 14 Kilos, 31 Pounds.
How do I use a drum or guitar plug in with this keyboard?
Midi or the audio in component. You record the audio and sample/loop it and save to floppy disc. Complicated if one doesn't do it regularly.
awesome
Thank you!
How do I play my songs back in the s-song play list?
You load them from floppy and they should work. I perhaps used s-song only a couple of times in 20 years of owning the Triton. Usually I use Seq.
