Out of the 20 something Kalmars the Army first acquired my old unit had 12. One of the guys in my platoon helped write the maintenance manual. Another guy ended up teaching a Kalmar class at AIT.

This is all about OJT , repetition , and a lot of stick time and common sense and knowing balance and stress .
Spent many an hour in one of those while stationed in Kuwait for the US Navy.
