Plus today is my birthday, so I figured I could take a break from the usual War Thunder / tank content to answer some questions. If you have any more, leave them in the comments. Im 100% sure that they won't give it the possibility to shot all the rounds without reloading some stupid thing like irl. They are only good at throwing shit in all TTs except the Russian one

Favourite German Tank: Wiesel
Out of all the tanks Germany has built throughout history, you pick one of the smallest ones they've ever made, despite their reputation for overly ambitious heavy/superheavy tank projects. Good choice!

not a bad pick, though you want overly ambitious tank project? have you heard of the Panzer U-Boots Seeteufel? literally a submarine with tracks, no AT armament as it was just to shuttle it to water, but it was a Bonkers idea from the get-go.

Yeah that’s what they are known for but personally I would think more of smaller tanks when asked what comes to mind when thinking of Germany’s AFV designs and production as small light vehicles made up most of Germany’s designs post WWII.
Considering Spook said he has a particular interest in Cold War light tanks I’m not surprised at all he picked the Wiesel

Do you have any expectations as to the continued longevity of War Thunder (i.e. how long it will last)? Also, what do you think Gaijin will have to do to keep it popular in the long run?
So long as they don't change the color or wording of the 'Target Destroyed' message, they will never lose too many players to sustain the game.

4:55 I am so glad that someone uses the same logic as me when it comes to picking their favorite MBT. My favorite is the T-14 Armata. Why? It's purely because I think it looks cool (and the turret is comically small relative to the hull. Especially compared to the Abrams or Leo 2 which has gargantuan turrets relative to their hulls)
When I think of the Abrams, I think of a guy who only goes upper body at the gym

If you like the American tank so much try the Swedish 90 tanks 3 of those have 0.2 autocannons
He's made a video on the Strf 9040C when it first came out. It's changed a bit since with volumetric and other things, but yeah. The 9040s in game are really odd though. They're reload mechanism is far from accurate, and they're sluggish af.

For an "Everything Wrong With", I suggest Ashes of the Singularity because it's so out there. Every unit is a Drone controlled by a single uploaded Post-Human or AI, and the "Frigates" (essentially your infantry equivalent) are literally massive. It's sort of hilarious how big they are; each one is probably larger than an MBT.

Happy birthday! I completely agree with your comments on long videos. I think in a lot of them they're talking to hear themselves talk and to push past some magical goal post for better monetization/publicity for the video. I like that yours are condensed, focused, and lack the noise that many other CC's videos have.
I would definitely love to see more of the "Everything wrong with..." videos, especially the ones where you try to redesign said thing to be more practical.

You mentioned decompression again, so I wanna give my two cents on it.
The way I see it right now, Gaijin isn't willing to properly decompress beacause they're both worried about gaps in nations, destroying lineups and having to rework the placement of almost every vehicle - you decompress top tier, now the tier just below them is excelling and fighting weaker opponents on average, so they need to be decompressed and so on, causing a *huge* amount of workload to do so properly, and breaking a lot of lineups in the process. This could be solved with some filler vehicles but again, lots of work.
This would somewhat contribute to what Gaijin's worried about, but I think it would do so to a lesser extend and remove the majority of the workload: Reduce the range of BRs in a battle. Right now there's a range of 1.0 BRs per battle, say a game is 10.0-11.0 for example. If you reduced it down to a 0.7BR range then it'd reduce the severity of full uptiers, make the experience more enjoyable and prevent having to rebalance the BRs of the majority of vehicles in every tree. The only problem I can see with this is a genuine increase in queue times because there'd be so many more possible ranges of BRs in games while reducing the pool of vehicles that could enter a lobby, and I can see it being noticeable, albeit not anything that'd ruin the experience.
What're your thoughts on this and its practicality? I'm not sure if it's one of those things that looks good at face value but could be bad in action, and it'd be nice to get a second opinion. Thanks!

I would definitely play more often my sabre and mig 15 with the 0.7 range, most of the time they are just there in my hangar because its not fun to fly for 4 minutes to be killed by a 9.3 with missiles and then lose +9k lions or wait for a week to repeat again

Hearing about you planning on making content from other game, I'm thinking you are not 'bound' or working on contract with Gaijin. With that, it might be a good idea to expand into other games as well. Plenty of games that could fit your upload schedule and video format. One or two 'tank games' that I'd like to hear your opinion about is Armored Warfare and World of Tanks. Also, your other content like talking about military pop culture is also good, better to expand on that as a filler upload (in case you want to slow down main content upload). Anyway happy birthday!
