Been there, done that! We sailed from Tower Bridge to Iceland. The ship turns around just past the tide control gates and continues down the Thames facing in the right direction.

I'm not aware of anybody being killed for opposing Queen Victoria (some will have been killed for committing acts of violence during her reign). I'm pretty sure that nobody was killed on this bridge for any reason! It's possible a worker may have accidentally died during its construction I suppose but ghosts don't exist so no need to worry :-)) ..... Andy

a few of these liners have a problem at sea so the easy way to fix it is they let them up the thames to dock at hms belfast fix the problem then return to sea
At least this one worked but looks tight! 😓.....authorities need to be careful to make sure this doesn't happen too often otherwise it could end up like Venice where cruise ships were damaging the place and locals actively protested!

I beg to differ the description “huge cruise ship “ really just isn’t, Irish ferries have bigger roll on roll off ships than this very tiny cruise ship in comparison to proper huge cruise ships , a huge cruise ship wouldn’t even have the depth clearance in the Thames
