He is VERY GOOD @ penalties because he wouldn't have WELL ABOVE the average over 180 penalty attempts otherwise, but that doesn't make him the best penalty taker. I'd consider Matt LeTissier (SP??) better because, in his whole career and with close to 50 penalty attempts, he missed ONE penalty.

Second technique is more about power. He was in his prime that time so the accuracy was also good in his 2nd technique
3rd technique is equally good in both accuracy and power.
Ronaldo knew his accuracy is declining in the 2nd technique so he changed it with the slower run up
I prefer the 3rd technique. He didn't miss the single penalty since the world cup where he started the 3rd technique.

That'll only mess up your contact because your focus is on the GK, and not the ball. Common mistake. If you have perfect contact with power, doesn't matter if GK goes the right way, it is a goal.
