I hope that Olrox is the focused main story villain. While Ezrabet is the Big Bad so to speak, Olrax clearly has more of a story prevalence, with his connection to Richter. Hes so interesting, and so different from other vampires. I honestly hope more from him and Mizrak. We got only a little bit with Dracula and Lisa, and those scenes were golden bits of chemistry. And I feel this relationship could bring even more wonderful insights into his character. Its clear Olrox cares, he went out of his way to save Mizrak. I really hope it doesnt end with that mini confrontation.
I'm expecting Olrox to openly join Richter and Alucard in the second season, with the final episode, with Ezrabet dead, being Olrox and Richter settling things between them.
Olrox reminds me of Dracula and Lisa. He wanted justice for the death of his true love, but he stopped after his love was avenged and explained his actions to Richter, providing him the chance to even the score in the future.
in the games, olrox was someone who fought for the thrill of combat and was either an respectful rival and/or ally to dracula. either would makes sense since in SOTN, he has an entire section of the castle to himself. i also like this version of olrox.
After the first season. And learning a bit of Orlok. What he tells Ritcher does not sound entirely like a threat. It sounds more like he KNOWS the kid is going to come after him because he thinks all Belmonts are bloodthirsty hunters and Ritcher has an added reason to hate him. But he just thinks that he will win the duel and kill Ritcher as well. He is threatening Ritcher but he is also resigned to how "things work".
I think you are close, but not quite on the mark. As strange as it may sound, Orlok 's actions have a kind of Justice to them. In a similar fashion, I would imagine that he would see Richter coming for him as a kind of justice as well. When he fought julia, he did so on Fair and even ground, even when Richter interfered. When he won, he did not extend his revenge Beyond who it involved. I think he simply sees how Richter would have Fair cause to challenge him as well, and is inviting him to do so when he is ready.
@@dream8870 Actually I think it will be something more ressembling to forgiveness. "I can't forgive you, but I will not hunt you" Orlock is not the typical Vampire.

I love the parallels between Richter and Annette. In one traumatic moment Richter lost his ability to call upon his magic while with Annette her magic emerged when she needed it the most. I believe Juste didn’t lose his magic, it’s always been there like with Richter and Annette. My theory is Juste subconsciously put a block in his mind to make him believe that he can’t call upon his power anymore because of his “unworthiness”. You just need the right motivation to unblock that part of your mind so he can use his magic again…
This fight is the perfect introduction to Olrox. We’ve been led to see the Belmonts as these unconquerable champions of the light, but Olrox manages to kill one who’s in her prime. Even then, it’s not a one-sided execution. Julia gives Olrox a hell of a fight, and only wins because Richter was nearby. Julia made Olrox earn his victory by forcing him to find her weakness and exploit it, like how the player of a Castlevania title has to guide their Belmont to learn and exploit the weakness of the supernatural monster they’re up against. While Richter didn’t deserve the trauma of watching his mother die, Olrox targeted Julia because she murdered his lover, who wanted a world where all people, human or vampire, rich or poor, can live in harmony, because he was a vampire, despite her ancestors having a close friend in a vampire. So her getting staked by the vengeful lover of her victim is kinda karmic. To be honest, it’s effectively this series’ version of the Rengoku vs. Akaza fight at the end of Mugen Train, in killing an seemingly overpowered protagonist to hype up the antagonists, and so the death hangs a dark shadow over the cast. And just like Olrox, Akaza’s kill feels earned, as Rengoku manages to keep everyone safe and go toe-to-toe with an Upper Kizuki, even though said Upper Kizuki was holding back to fight fair and feel like his victory’s earned.
He’s centuries years old, he literally had thousands of years as a vampire on her so her being in her prime isn’t a factor here when he’s fought Belmonts before her as well. Now if Tevor was immortal it would be a fight…
Loud be cool if they show us at some point if Morana and Striga are still alive . They did took what was left of the vampire army and walked away to live their lives .(probably one of their other castles)
My theory has been, the reason he's been able to survive so much, is because Olrox, is the god Kukulkan/Quetzalcoatl. It's my personal idea, and considering he is considered a dragon AND has a similar form to them. It feels like Olrox is definitely that divine figure. Not to mention how much he knew of the colonization of the people of Mesoamerica. The pieces feel like the align together.
I despised Olrox as a villain. But as the show went along, I learned he is kinda sympathetic. He was a heartbroken person who wanted to avenge his lost loved one.
This is why the mafia in sicily always killed the sons of the father they also killed. if given compassion, the son will also find a way to avenge his father later down the road. this mistake by olrox to spare richter will be his undoing.
People really talk a lot about th outcome of this if richter was not on the script but is safe to asume that being close to Julia was the only possible safe place for him. Orlox knew about her weakness (his son) and both were tracking the other so i dont doubt that he would have found and used Richter to take the adventage anyways. Orlox was not playing for honor with Julia, he was set on revenge mode, playing Dirty, and take every chance was on the menu. She was defeated the moment her son born. Sooner than later that would cost her anyways.
This is obviously speculation but Olrox probably never planned to actually attack Richter, but Julia couldn't have known that so he essentially caused her to think Richter was under threat so he could find an opening, which paid off. In a clean 1v1 we can't make assumptions about who would have won, especially when things can switch up so quickly. Like Julia got hit once and that was all Olrox needed to pin her down and kill her. But she was dominating him early on which pushed him to transform, and she also managed to spot him before his surprise attack but took the hit cause she was worried about Richter. Chances are she would beat him but, well, she is dead. This hit like a brick though, Olrox just killed her and left so it's just Richter with his mother's corpse on an empty street, i don't know why it makes me feel so bad.
Nah, 'dominating' is a strong word...she had the upper hand. Also, that was only ever pre-transformation and even then we didn't see Olrox use everything in his arsenal (like when he enter mist form and can still fire off lightning).
January 2025!(are they gonna have 4 season to it like Castlevania 2017!?)And She could've Kill him if Young Richther wasn't there to distract her but i guess that she didn't know he could Transform.(still good serie of Castlevania.)
Are people seriously blaming Richter for this? He's a kid! He didn't do anything wrong. OLROX was the one who killed her, nor Richter. And if anyone says "if Richter left-" no, don't pull that card. Even if Richter left, there is absolutely no guarantee that she would've survived. She could have, but it's not a sure thing.
I do agree that even if Richter had left it wouldn’t have been a guaranteed win for her with it going either way, but at the end of the day Richter caused his mothers death by staying involved in a fight he should have left, doesn’t matter if he was a kid or not as at the end of the day his actions led to her demise.
Not necessarily blaming him more just pointing out how it went down. I fully understand why Richter stayed but ultimately it was him who cost her the fight.
As an aztec who had close relations to the idea of serpent gods, its likely this was something he could do before being turned. Also his eyes are permenately reptilian.
Sort of sad how Olrox's "someone special" was probably some dude he had a two day tryst with then turned into a vampire who went on a blood starved rampage and was put down by Julia.
That’s crazy because he gave a whole backstory and flat out said he was the only person he ever loved. It’s almost like you think straight people are the only ones who can love someone. Because do you think this about Dracula and his ‘tryst’? Orlox is singularly the most grounded, calm character in the show. So I’m curious as to what led you to believe this if not your own bias. Like you literally put it in quotes. As if dude didn’t ex her out in front of her son. You think that was over a ‘tryst’? You injected soooo much that the show doesn’t even hint at so I’m trying to figure out what your point was.

I need to know why the whip isnt exploding vampires on contact anymore. Isnt it blessed? How did he take a full hit from it and just walk away unscathed.
I think that the only whip that makes the vampires explode is The Mourning Star one , which is not present here . I kind of suspect that since so much time passed since Trevor and Syfa, Alucard probably has it to pass it on at a later point but that is just a imaginative guess for the next season or even on a possible season 3 ?
I've not seen the whole series, but I am not convinced Olrox is evil. He looks more like a predator (let's say a jaguar for consistency): he kills to survive but he isn't full of malice like most other vampires. He kills Julia because she killed his beloved but he doesn't kill the boy because, at the moment, he is innocent.
Still, in the end Olrox converted his boyfriend , who I think went on a killing spree, so obviously Julia had to kill him . If Olrox has to be mad at someone, it has to be him self, but yeah, there are some glimpses of morality going trough his mind and not killing the kid . Next season will provide more depth to his character .
I don't think they gave more story about him. Looks like he was human and a revolutionary fighting against slavery and Olrox was helping him at some point to achieve his dreams . Than he ( I don't think it was mentioned if it was a unilateral decision or not ), turned him in to vampire and apparently not long after, Julia killed him . I'm sure she had her reasons though . Once turned, most don't have the discipline to control them selves so it is possible that from a revolutionary, he went to be a mass killer very fast and news reached Julias attention soon. If that was the case, all Olroxs fault for not keeping him on a tighter leash until he learns . So it was probably selfish reasons at play here ?
I started out disliking Olrox because he killed Julia… then I felt bad for him and couldn’t really blame him. He was in love with someone, turned him and his lover was murdered…. I’d kill somebody too for that

And Maria got caught leading to Tera's death

@@kindredmisfit8690fairly so, I think one of my gripes with the original series was the introduction of such powerful weapons early on, we witnessed sypha and alucard's power creep, and though I'm not denying Trevor's power up, it's hard to gauge how much more he could've shown off with just the vampire killer. Of course the morningstar was badass and kicked ass, so it's less of a complaint and more of just a thought

And when Olrox transformed into this kind of snake with wings and feathers, it refers to the good Quetzalcoatl.
@erebusvonmori8050 nah, they need to fight. You ain't killing my mom without an ass whooping.
@@erebusvonmori8050 Same. I also honestly think Orlox wants Richter to be the one to kill him. He took his revenge but he knows the wrongs he did.
hes got such a neat voice
I know right, Olrox voice sounds so soothing and yet also so toyful
he's voiced by Zahn McClarnon. a renowned native american actor.

I grew to change my mind on the Nocturne series. It's not bad at all
The title fooled me, I thought this was gonna be Julius Belmont.
Guess we won’t get the Aria of Sorrow saga until 2035.
From a games canon perspective that would be an overkill
Given what this guy can do, even for a vampire. I can see why even Richter pissed himself when He saw him again. I’m actually inclined to think we may be dealing with an offshoot of Varney, or at least a being very similar. He’s clearly not just a vampire.
Even if Trevor wasn't there, I still don't think she would have won. She would have done some serious damage, yeah, but not kill him. Buddy hasn't survived for 200 years for nothing. But I do wish we had more on Julia. Chick was a complete bad ass.
You mean Richter?
I wish they had written it so that Richter goes to the ship, comes back, and at the last moment see Julia die. I would have like it so much more that way but I did still love this opening scene!

They need to make a game about Julia Belmont.

What a show. The fight isn’t even the best part of this scene.
Im hoping at the end of this Richter gets payback at least kicking Olrox's ass and letting him live because he allowed it.
Anyways we all are waiting impatiently for season 2
Guess what chuckle nuts
Oi where's orlox im waiting for him in his quarters though the music is very calming i must admit
Can't wait for season two
Anyone know the name of the ost when they started fighting?
Olrox is the mvp of new castlevenia
Why do I have a feeling that Julia will be back as one of Bathory's demons/vampires?
She's been dead for more than a decade in another country by impalement. I don't think she'll be back
When he called out his age, I thought about Lenore.. she’d be 500 years old in this series. 🥲
Loud be cool if they show us at some point if Morana and Striga are still alive . They did took what was left of the vampire army and walked away to live their lives .(probably one of their other castles)
Legend The Queen Lenore ❤ I, m sad 😢for Lenore bad End
My theory has been, the reason he's been able to survive so much, is because Olrox, is the god Kukulkan/Quetzalcoatl.
It's my personal idea, and considering he is considered a dragon AND has a similar form to them. It feels like Olrox is definitely that divine figure.
Not to mention how much he knew of the colonization of the people of Mesoamerica.
The pieces feel like the align together.
I despised Olrox as a villain. But as the show went along, I learned he is kinda sympathetic. He was a heartbroken person who wanted to avenge his lost loved one.
Yeah, Julia belmont gets defeated by Vampire Milli Vanilli lol
Because Richter distracted her
This is why the mafia in sicily always killed the sons of the father they also killed. if given compassion, the son will also find a way to avenge his father later down the road. this mistake by olrox to spare richter will be his undoing.
Love how he turned in thebserpent. from Aztec culture. White lady had it coming.
Julia was seriously hot though
Now we are talking 😎
Imagine if future Belmonts had the morning star. Then Olrox would be cooked.
I assume he will get it in season two
This is obviously speculation but Olrox probably never planned to actually attack Richter, but Julia couldn't have known that so he essentially caused her to think Richter was under threat so he could find an opening, which paid off.
It makes you feel bad because no one wants to see a mother die in this way.
Nah, 'dominating' is a strong word...she had the upper hand. Also, that was only ever pre-transformation and even then we didn't see Olrox use everything in his arsenal (like when he enter mist form and can still fire off lightning).
I love this guy, best vampire since Dracula in the series. Best character since Isaac ;)
I love the shows, but there is one thing that we can't deny, the characters of Belmont family in the games are far more powerful!
This guy would have been toast if someone else helped her in the fight.
January 2025!(are they gonna have 4 season to it like Castlevania 2017!?)And She could've Kill him if Young Richther wasn't there to distract her but i guess that she didn't know he could Transform.(still good serie of Castlevania.)
This is why you don't take kids to work. Seriously. Let your mom work in peace! Look at what happened to her career!
So if Juste is Richter's grandfather, it means Julia is Juste's daugther right ? I wonder why they never made a game about her.
Why does Olrox have locks? Just why?
John Redcorn in Castlevania!?😱😱😱
Orlox or Dracula who the Oldest?
Dracula is the oldest and strongest. He lived back when technology still existed and most probably even before that .
Me, Around since 11th century

We see alucard transform into a wolf several times
Only the really powerful one's. olrox can be considered a vampire lord.
Sorta how gays do now 😂
well he told us quite a bit about him and it seemed like they had a decent history together, so it was probably a bit more than that
That’s crazy because he gave a whole backstory and flat out said he was the only person he ever loved.

The morning star and the vampire killer are two different whips
They don't have the Morning Star. That whip is made of metal and is likely in another nation unless it shows up in season 2. That's just a normal whip
Kinda feelsnlike she could have dodged that
I've not seen the whole series, but I am not convinced Olrox is evil.
Why make him look like the dude from Extreme and not count Orlok who he's supposed to be based on...

She's dead. For good.
Who was his lover?
