Taliban & Iran’s “Axis of Resistance”, Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthi come together for Raisi’s Funeral

- Iran’s supreme leader and world dignitaries offered condolences at official funeral in Tehran following Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's death. The funeral ceremony was attended by representatives of Iran's proxies, i.e., leaders of Hamas, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Yemen’s Houthi, Taliban delegation. The supreme leader of Iran’s proxy militia group Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, attended the funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. The Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh attended funeral days after the ICC’s prosecutor said he’d seek arrest warrant for him over Oct 7 attack. After attending the funeral session, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh also met Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Lebanon-based Iran’s proxy, Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary General Naim Qassem, also attended Raisi's funeral and offered condolences. The head of the Houthi delegation, Mohammad Abdulsalam, and Houthi delegate Abdul-Malik Al-Egri were present at the funeral ceremony. Meanwhile, Taliban’s Deputy PM Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar and FM Amir Muttaqi also condoled the demise of President Raisi and FM Amir Abdollahian. The presence of the Hamas chief and other representatives of Iran’s proxies signaled Khamenei’s intention to continue his policy for militia groups in West Asia. Notably, during Raisi’s term in office, Iran launched an unprecedented direct attack on Israel after the October 7 attack. Iran has supported Hamas throughout the war and provided weaponry to fight against Israel. It’s believed that Iran uses its “axis of resistance” as a way to pressure its adversaries like Israel and the US. Raisi, a ‘hardliner cleric,’ was seen as a potential successor to Supreme Leader, the 85-Year-old Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Raisi was killed alongside FM Hossein and six other passengers and crew when the helicopter carrying them crashed in the northwestern region of Iran.

I think what Tlibn and Hms are doing here is just politics. Since they have a common enemy with Iranians, they are forced to maintain relations. Moreover Iranians hide lot of details of their creed, so Talibn don't have enough justification to take a more aggressive stance.
