When I started watching The Blacklist, I never thought I would make it to the second season. And boom, because of Raymond Reddington I watched every single episode of that series. I love the series and I love James Spader's acting.
Dembe Zuma isn't Raymond Reddington 'puppet' as the narrator put it, he is his partner in crime. Most trusted friend, they would both literally die for each other.

Remember when Dembe was almost shot in the head (by one of the craziest Blacklisters ever - one that had shot an Asian girl - part of Red's entourage - that we thought might be a regular character) as an incentive to force Reddington to come out of that impenetrable box (he did come out and saved Dembe's life) very early in the series?
Love Dembe's character. He bring some type of peace in the relationship towards Red He's calm and wants to do the right thing even in that type of life style they lead. I always go back and watch..

I ran into Ryan Eggold in Belize and went all Tom Keen fangirl on him. He wasn't a jerk but you could tell being recognized was the last thing he wanted to deal with.
I've found great entertainment in just treating celebrities like regular people. I ran into the members of Ugly Kid Joe at the peak of their fame in a hotel hallway after a concert where they opened for Def Leppard. I just said, "Hi guys! Great show!", and kept going. Another time, I watched Kelsey Grammer perform in MacBeth in Boston. After the show, he walked out of an alley from backstage, presumably headed for his hotel. He was wearing a ballcap pulled down and long coat. He was trying to get out without a hassle, which I could appreciate. As he got close, he made eye contact. I just gave him a grin and a nod. He grinned back and passed by. It was basically a private joke between us. The coolest celebrity I met was James Tolken. I played against him in a 9-ball tournament in Plattsburgh, NY when I was in college. He insisted that I call him Jimmy, and we joked through the whole game. (He won)
Dembe is my second favorite character in the show after raymond, these two make the show complete, i cried so hard in this episode when he decided to leave raymond but then when he shot hannah i never was that happy in my life ❤️.
At first I didn't think much of Dembe because he was kind of in the background compared to other characters. But after the Finale of season 1 where he was held at gunpoint and especially after raymond told that guy in the mambosa cartel episode about how he met Dembe, I became so attached to him. He and Red just belong to each other.
James Spader’s acting is just wholistic. From arrogance to wit to badass to humor and sarcasm you can’t afford not to laugh at, no one could’ve done it better 👌🏾👌🏾
I was devastated when Baz demised (no thanks to you Kate). If Dembe is Red right hand, Baz is his left hand. Baz character doesn't have any back story but the show has showed that Baz was one of Red trusted security team (as he was entrusted to watch over Lizzy). Baz real name is Bazzel Baz and he is a former CIA Intelligence Special Operations Group Officer, a Citadel graduate, recipient of the Intelligence Commendation Medal and a former counter-terrorism officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. I like his quiet presence and how dependable he was in time of war/crisis.
Love the show! Probably the best one I've watched in a long time. I love all the characters and they play them so well. I will be sad when it is over. Totally HOOKED!!!!

I think all of the characters in the show are winners, even the villains. We make sure we record every episode just in case we can't watch it at the regular time. Hate to see "Liz" go. She is such a pretty young lady. ABSOLUTELY fun to watch all the twists and turns. Bravo people!
same here. the tasks became too personal...too many collateral damage just to save her and her child...as if the others did not have families. tired of her character and tom too....so glad she died but what she is alived again. like mr kaplan
same. her character is so frustrating. Liz ruins every one's plan. I still can't forgive her for reporting NYPD about Reddington that got him sentenced to death and almost died. She also almost ruin Dembe and Reddington's relationship. The show is all about protecting her since the beginning and i'm not liking it anymore. I thought they were over that but here we are, season 8 is almost out.
All of these people are really talented especially James Spader, like his character is different from others and the fact that Raymond sometimes his friends & Colleagues can betray him, On the other hand i really learned that nobody can be trusted in life.
Aisha Ismail yes, in an interview he said he wanted to be an actor, at 17 he decided to come to NY and chase his dream or land his goal. He comes from a very educated family, both parents were teacher and college instructor, to be an actor he stated he did not need to study further, he just self studied acting and separately educated himself by reading heavily over the years, many of those lines he recites and expresses beautifully are his own lines, well read and well enjoyed intellectual west village NYC life.

I discovered this series less than a month ago and now I am watching the end of the sixth season. Sometimes I watch three or four episodes in one evening ، every character left its touch in the series. Of course, when watching the last season , I will not be able to watch another series for a period of time until I can get out of the blacklist vortex.😂
