    laverne clark was one of my favorites to watched.. felt so good seeing him KO fabiano iha. boxing > mma

      @@temoherbertlopez6019 Tony was old and out of his prime while the other guy he fought was in his prime still fighting but what happend too him when he faced brook lesser huh he got completeh destroy by brock lesnar and holm vs Ronda ray mecry vs Tim sliva and the list goes on Boxing beat MMA and ufc ever time MMA ufc failed in boxing while boxers have successed in . mma and ufc much more the MMA and ufc

      Is the universal law, it depends on the fighter, not the style, Laverne was a better fighter.

      This just goes to show the progression of the sport. Most bjj guys didn’t know how to strike. Obviously there are exceptions Rua and Belfort come to mind. I think the lack of striking ability is why the gracies left in such a hurry. They were going to start running into top level wrestlers and didn’t want to chance losing to one. Obviously bjj guys have an advantage with submissions but in my opinion they were mostly terrible at strikes.
