      Pep and Jose have the trophies, and the history cos they go back to the 90s when they were at Barca together and then fell out and had a heated rivalry when they were at Madrid and Barca. Klopp and Pep is more interesting on the pitch though and will be the next big manager rivalry in the PL even though they do like each other.

    Honestly Liverpool has nothing to worry about yet unless they draw/lose one of the next few games.
    Considering that Liverpool were 11mm away from equalizing City, coupled with a sick save by Ederson, it could have been anyone's game. Also both City goals were incredible and precise, and any other small detail would have ruined their chances of scoring. So if THAT'S what it takes for Livepool to lose, I don't see them losing much more

    Liverpool need to realize that Hendo disrupts the rhythm of the team. I don’t think he’s the right man to lead. Our captain has to be good and has to be a consistent started. VVD would be a perfect captain for us. Having Fabinho and Keita on the bench because we are trying to force our ‘captain’ Hendo into the starting lineup. Vuj is right. Hendo is simply not good enough to be our captain if we want to win trophies.

    As soon as Lovren said to the press that we are able to make it through this season's league unbeaten, alarm bells started ringing. Not only did I have a sick feeling that it was then not going to happen, but I knew he was going to be a vital reason for us not doing so. However, we look ahead as we are still 4 points clear, and we still have a very good chance of winning this league. Other positives are that; Sterling couldn't finish his dinner against us (regardless of Lovren kindly laying it on a plate for him) - no pun intended and, this taste of defeat is (hopefully) going to propel us onto another lengthy unbeaten run, as we have not tasted defeat in the league for so long :D

    Love Henderson, but him, Lovren and to an extent Milner had no right starting that game with Keita and Fabinho on the bench. They're no more than squad players to me at this point. We missed Gomez tremendously with those runs in between the defenders being City's biggest threat a lot of the time. Liverpool need to permanently swap to a 4-2-3-1 in these games. More stability and still very potent in the attack! Pulisic back on loan probably reduced the price a bit tbh, but he might get more game time at Chelsea how they are now then Dortmund who're fighting for the title and aren't rotating as much in the league.

      Mark Martinez Henderson was brilliant vs City, Milner has been brilliant for us almost every time he’s played this season and Lovren has been more than capable at the back this season apart from this one game. Stop watching games with pre conceived notions and actually try to pay attention to the contributions of each player, especially Jordan Henderson. There was absolutely nothing wrong with his performance, he had a decent showing.

    • @DazedAndConfuzing
      @DazedAndConfuzing 5 років тому

      @@MisterMahseer I've always loved Henderson as our Captain and as a player. He was solid in the game, but Fabinho has been better in recent weeks and our midfield was overrun several times before he was introduced. Milner was recently injured and hasn't been playing as much football as others on the bench, for this to be his first big game back was odd to me. And yes, Lovren has been fine all season, but he's not nearly as good at tracking those in between runs as Gomez is, he doesn't have the reading of the game or recovery pace Gomez has, which would've greatly benefited us vs. Sane and Aguero. I thought we played decently well and the game could've gone either way, but to me, it did not feel like we put our best foot forward to start the game. This wasn't meant as a meaningless bash on our players, they've obviously been great up until now, but Lovren good but is error prone, Hendo and Milner in the midfield at times makes us feel very static (look at the away results with them and Gini over the course of the champions league spanning from last season).

    Everyone is talking about how good Allison is but no one can impact the game on the offense like Ederson. His ability to distribute the ball and impact the formations are incredible. He's a great stopper and I think in a wholistic sense, the top 6 keepers could all be interchanged on any given day but their ability to distribute the ball and impact the offense cannot be compared to Ederson and that's why I think he's the best

Same as someone you know has the same salary as you and you think it will stay the same and as soon as that person steps up and is trying to actually hit big you open your mouth full of jealousy and you belittle that person. Lovren makes a silly tackle gets booked early. Lovren leaves Aguero too much space and he pulls off a ridiculous goal. Lovren leaves Sterling onside for the build-up to Sané's goal. Lovren gifts Aguero a chance AND THEN SECONDS LATER lays it off to Sterling who blasts wide.
      He's can be good but he can also be a liability and this game shows why he's 3rd choice CB.
      Trent escapes a lot of criticism for his pass in the build-up for our goal. If it wasn't for that, people would expressly say he had a shocker.

      I’m not sure about that. United have looked reasonably good, but even against Newcastle showed the sluggishness that we’re used to seeing. I can’t see them doing to well against spurs away. Spurs are nothing special to me this season with big flaws in how they play and a lack of overall strength in every part of the pitch but given their position I think they’ll win with a better attack. Unless they fall asleep in the lead like they did to Wolves.

    The name "cottage pie" was first used at the end of the 18th century. It was around that time that the poorer people of Britain, who tended to live in cottages, started using potatoes as an everyday food. Originally, a pie made with any kind of meat and a mashed potato lid (as opposed to a pastry crust) was called a "cottage pie"

    Spurs fan here - I don't think that we can win the league when Liverpool and Man City are both far superior particularly City with their squad depth. We lack a top quality CM. As good as Sissoko has been this season we aren't going to win a season with him and Winks as our middle men against the top 2. We have some of the best BPL forwards but we need better quality in behind them.
    Although, like most Spurs fans, I did not expect to be where we are considering we made no signings, we have had a disastrous time with injuries and the stadium move has been a mess so I'm really happy and hoping we could win the fa cup or league cup. Also still in the UCL which we can't win but it would be nice to get further in the knockout stage.
