What IS it that makes me keep coming back to watch and listen to this one again and again? So many details.... Lately, I watch it every couple of days... the whole group is so precisely together, yet if you watch each individually, they all are equally invested in the mood & the movements, and are having individual responses throughout the song. @@kal179 They are not pushed. And they don't do commercial concepts. They style changes through time and that's normal. For me there are further from commercial concepts now from then esp lyricwise(in terms of title track because of their coming of age story starting from teenage years). There are a lot of this kind of concept songs but not that much about slef love/realisation in the way BANGTAN is doing it. Were they unique even then?110%YES. But I love their growth and touch of other very important themes and subjects

They have a company behind them is what I mean when I say they are pushed, most kpop groups and artists are controled by companies, my cousin kept saying that but I refused to believe they didn't act on their own, I then realized but BTS I must admit are a bit more free than other artist but not too much. Everything they release is filtered until its publication. I mean for example when BWL was released as a title track cause it's more commercial and it can be played more easily on the radios plus it's ft. Halsey... don't get me wrong it's just my opinion not trying to insult anyone. Like they could make an MV for Dionysus instead of BWL. They never do mvs for their other songs like "paradise" or "love maze" or even tho they have the best rappers (RM, Suga, Jhope) in kpop and they don't use (i don't mean in songwritting) them as much as they should to make different concepts or even mvs for rap line. I watched other solo kpop artists who are all alone without a company and they do whatever they like. Sorry if it's too long i hope you get me, it's just an unpopular opinion :))

Persona is the mask you wear in public and how the world sees you(no matter if it's 100% true even for your persona. And also Dionysus is last because that's how the movement from PERSONA to SHADOW can be shown(from outer to inner world). And about company having also a say in their work even small it's necessary because of how some people twist things and make BANGTAN look bad(antis what can you do) because now they are quite popular. Altho I do agree that eventually u gotta go thru all their albums/songs/mvs, they can still call themselves and actually be an army without having gone thru their whole discography first. Armys are those who support them, does their research, get to know them as people and their music as well. What IS it that makes me keep coming back to watch and listen to this one again and again? So many details.... Lately, I watch it every couple of days... the whole group is so precisely together, yet if you watch each individually, they all are equally invested in the mood & the movements, and are having individual responses throughout the song. I just can't get over how beautiful they all are together - more than any other group I've ever seen!

@@kal179 They are not pushed. And they don't do commercial concepts. They style changes through time and that's normal. For me there are further from commercial concepts now from then esp lyricwise(in terms of title track because of their coming of age story starting from teenage years). There are a lot of this kind of concept songs but not that much about slef love/realisation in the way BANGTAN is doing it. Were they unique even then?110%YES. But I love their growth and touch of other very important themes and subjects
@@namu7868 yes i know what you are trying to say and I agree. All artist eventually change their style. It's just my opinion. They have a company behind them is what I mean when I say they are pushed, most kpop groups and artists are controled by companies, my cousin kept saying that but I refused to believe they didn't act on their own, I then realized but BTS I must admit are a bit more free than other artist but not too much. Everything they release is filtered until its publication. I mean for example when BWL was released as a title track cause it's more commercial and it can be played more easily on the radios plus it's ft. Halsey... don't get me wrong it's just my opinion not trying to insult anyone. Like they could make an MV for Dionysus instead of BWL. They never do mvs for their other songs like "paradise" or "love maze" or even tho they have the best rappers (RM, Suga, Jhope) in kpop and they don't use (i don't mean in songwritting) them as much as they should to make different concepts or even mvs for rap line. I watched other solo kpop artists who are all alone without a company and they do whatever they like. Sorry if it's too long i hope you get me, it's just an unpopular opinion :))

About Dionysus not being an MV but BWL being is because of the concept. Persona is the mask you wear in public and how the world sees you(no matter if it's 100% true even for your persona. And also Dionysus is last because that's how the movement from PERSONA to SHADOW can be shown(from outer to inner world). And about company having also a say in their work even small it's necessary because of how some people twist things and make BANGTAN look bad(antis what can you do) because now they are quite popular.

Altho I do agree that eventually u gotta go thru all their albums/songs/mvs, they can still call themselves and actually be an army without having gone thru their whole discography first. Casual listeners are just ppl who listen to their most known songs and that's it, and occasionally. Armys are those who support them, does their research, get to know them as people and their music as well. Watches run, etc etc. Just because they haven't discovered everyyyyything yet, doesn't stop them from being an army.

I discovered this song back at 2019 when my mum had torn up all of my BTS pictures and had literally said stuffs about them, which I being an ARMY couldn't tolerate at all. I really didn't know and still don't know why does my mum hate BTS?? I literally have no courage to even speak the word 'BTS' in front of my mum. But that day I had cried like anything about the tearing of the pictures and the way she insulted BTS. And then I heard this song.
