    I could replace the filter with new one thanks to this video.
    In my country Japan, very few people own Giulietta and there are few clues for parts replacement of right-hand drive Giulietta.
    thanks a lot!

    Done this job 2 or 3 times on our Giulietta, in fact cut a piece of wood to length to wedge between the crossmember in front of the driver seat and the clutch pedal, to hold it down for a bit more room. It still takes the combined talents of a contortionist and a half pissed gynaecologist.....Alfas don't you just love 'em !

      The location is sane for left hand drive cars (passenger footwell), they didn't care about making life miserable for right-hand drivers...

    The old one is grey because this is a carbon filter much more expensive that the new one 😉

    Good video, didn’t take me long thanks to this. Bit of a bugger to get in, you have to contort it a bit more than you’d imagine, but like the video says, if you shove the bottom in first it’s easy enough to get the top bit in by feel.

    Vialetto Tony, can you please explain how to completely disable the Start/Stop system on Giulietta?

    • @vialettotony
      @vialettotony  2 роки тому

      Hi. I’ve looked on the diagnostic software and it doesn’t look from there that you can disable it completely. I guess it’s going to a case of having to use the switch on the dashboard. Hope that helps. All the best 👍

    Well that was fun. Pretty much all of the filters on the Giulietta are needlessly awkward to access. The designer needs to find a new job.

    Useful video. I found the clutch pedal can be put out of the way by wedging it down by using a suitable piece of wood between the pedal and the front edge of the seat. Trickiest but was threading the new filter in place past the steering column, but all done in 15 mins 👍

  • @Epoxus86
    @Epoxus86 3 роки тому +3

    Thanks, this helped me a lot! Very clear and useful videos for the Giulietta. What I also noticed is that there are somehow filters with different thicknesses on the market for this car. Compare for instance FEBI 48483 (25.5mm thick) vs UFI 54.256.00 or Mann CUK 23 009 (20mm thick), the thinner ones being much easier to install in my experience.
    Any chance you could do a tutorial on the antenna base replacement (should be possible through the rear interior light unit)?

    • @vialettotony
      @vialettotony  3 роки тому

      Hi Epoxus86. Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it.
      I did actually look at doing a video on the antenna base, as i know its an issue for many owners. Having removed the rear interior light, it wasn't so straight forward, so unfortunately i prioritised on other things. I will get on to doing this though in due course as others have asked for it too.

    • @vialettotony
      @vialettotony  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Piers. It really can be a sh**. I found I had to really fold the bottom clutch pedal side up, while getting the top corner in to the channel. You can then slide it in and wiggle it around to get it to unfold on its own. Best of luck. 👍

    Just did that on mine. Even with 3 bricks lined up in the footwell to hold down the clutch, it was still a nightmare to put the new filter in. Getting the old one out without damaging it much was surprisingly easy in comparison. That’s one job on the Giulietta I am NEVER doing myself again!
