Some people would say that a song like this isn’t a great introduction to a channel. Those are also the same people who would consider the two hours I’ve had this on loop for as torture of the highest degree, so clearly they have no idea what they’re talking about
HHAHAHA ARE YOU OKAY.
If looping a 2 minute 22 second song about Pikmin until 3am, only to immediately put it back on loop after waking up means I’m okay, then yeah, of course, why wouldn’t I be?

My god this is such a banger! I’ve listened to one of the versions and got obsessed. I found other covers where people tried to make an extended version but it wasn’t great. But this. This is TRUE ART. We can hear you had a great time covering this and it almost brought me to tears (for real, I’m not joking). The added lyrics fit perfectly with the original ones and combined with your beautiful voice and editing this is a certified Pikmin moment.

In short, Pikmin is both a game franchise by Nintendo and the green thing you saw slowly appearing as the song progressed.
In long, Pikmin is a strategy game where you take control of various space captains throughout the series.
These captains end up discovering a species they call Pikmin, plant-like creatures that spawn from onion looking metal pods.
In the original there were only red, blue, and yellow Pikmin, however as the series progressed they introduced purple, white, rock, winged, ice, and ghost. (Though I might be missing one.)
All of these Pikmin have different abilities that make each unique and valuable to your mission, which consists of gathering lost ship parts, collecting treasure, find and harvesting fruit for your dying world, collecting a substance known as Sparklium, and finding a lost spaceman that sent out a distress signal. (Depending on the game.)
You can only have 100 Pikmin of any kind out at a time and only have a limited time for each day (and sometimes limited days) to get everything you need to do done, thus the strategy part of the games kick in.
I believe the reason this odd song exists is because there was a long wait between Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4 with only spin-offs coming out in the meantime (and very few at that).
Half these products, such as the Pikmin horn and Pikmin Sin do not exist and were meant to fill time and make rhymes.
Along with that, an official "Green Pikmin" (as shown in this video), does not exist, (unless you count the ghost Pikmin) it simply being a recolor of the red Pikmin.
