idk why people didnt like this album. viva emptiness was the first album i listened to. i was happy that great cold distance sounded the same. I was even happier to find out the previous albums had the same tone. brave murder day was by far, one of the best growling albums that katatonia has released. mostly because mikael did the vocals.
@luke666808g They definitely are talented, also I'm 100% sure it was all analog recording from at least the 1st album to LFDGD. I saw in an interview Anders said LFDGD had heavy production, but Jonas made sure that there wasn't any computer stuff like pro tools or anything.
@theaquaviper I would never expect the drums and bass to be out of sync in the first place, what with pro tools and everything, and Katatonia is a very well produced band, so yeah I'm not sure that proves anything, but I've seen them live too so I can vouch for them being talented musicians.
@darkness12345678 There may be some die hard old school katatonia fans who didnt like the great cold distance, I wouldnt say most people didnt like it. Its a great album and it got a lot of people into katatonia.
i think this song is pretty great, but it it isn't fare because in the white was before this, and thats one of the best songs ever so its hard to overshatter it with a better song.
The itch and the cure for Catatonic Schizophrenia, I wanna ensure you that this actually means something and is from outside of your skull, hey there now you're frozen in place! got you!
one of my favorite album artworks ever.
