You're right that after death, there is no more opportunity for sin, as our time of choice has ended. The Bible teaches us that 'people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment' (Hebrews 9:27). In this context, it's important to reflect on how we live and the choices we make while we're alive. The discussion about cremation is a personal choice, and the Bible calls us to focus more on how we conduct our lives rather than on practices after death, as what truly matters is our relationship with God and our eternal destiny. 🙏
Thank you for sharing your experience, Annette. The loss of a loved one is always a difficult time, and each family handles it in different ways. Regarding cremation, the Bible doesn't give specific instructions on what should be done with the body after death. What we do know is that our hope is not in the state of our bodies, but in the resurrection promised by God and in eternal life through Jesus Christ. May you find peace and comfort in God's promises during this time. I'm praying for you and your family." 🙏
The bible does not mention anything on cremation at least not in the terms of it being a sin...and where there is no law there is no transgression Romans 4:15
Thank you for your comment! Indeed, the Bible does not specifically mention cremation as a sin. As you cited Romans 4:15, where there is no law, there is no transgression. The decision between cremation and burial is personal and can vary according to each person’s beliefs and traditions. What truly matters is our faith and relationship with God. I appreciate you sharing your perspective! 🙏❤️
I'm not religious but it does say one returns to dust. You would think the how and why one turns to dust is irrelevant. Whether one is in a grave for centuries, buried at sea, or whatever, the result is the same. Surely, if one can be brought up, dust stands to reason one can raised again
