Loved it
Nice
Thankyou sir for your valuable guide to how do draw in origin.its very useful
in my case, when I increase the temperature of the sample, the surface area is also increase. It is the data from lab. I used BET 92, because in our lab there is only BET 92.
So are you happy with that? Increase surface area is good in some cases while it is bad in other cases. Depends on the application. Which application are you using this material. 🤔
Any reference research article for this???
Great, sir. Can you teach me how to get those data using BET? I am very curious how you got those pore size, specific surface area, and pore volume using only one graph for each experiment. Thank you
Thank you very much for the comment.
When you get BET data from the machine, all these parameters such as pore size, pore volume etc are present in the data. You just need to convert that text data in coulumn using excel or Origin in then draw it.
I hope it is clear and if still not clear please do ask me
Hi Sir
Thank you for this clear explanation. I've got some BET results and the surface area was calculated directly by the instrument, I took them and I did a comparison of their values for my samples. I note that I am using my materials for photodegradation of dyes, I want to ask about the change in BET surface area values, when it's increasing it's better for the photocatalytic activity?
thank you
Good question. The BET surface area actually measuring g/ m2.
It depends on the device. Some device need large surface area while other need small surface area. It can be beneficial as well as worse.
Decreasing size will definitely increase surface areas vice versa
Hello, congratulations on the material. Could you help me find BET surface area data and total pore volumes?
I have the raw data made available by the lab technician. I need to find this data, but I couldn't. I appreciate if I can help.
All information is available in that file which we get from the analyser. The graph I have drawn is basically from that file
I have some bet result .These surface area very small compared to the standard value. What are the reason for the decreasing value sir.
There might be different reason. Have you followed the same method as exist in the literature or you change some parameters.
You need to perform series of samples in order to know the causes
Dear Sir, Thank you for your lecture and effort. I am trying to find out how to calculate the surface area pore volume and average pore size. Should i do it by equation or is there any other way to get that? I have already drawn the graph. It's mesoporous type 4. waiting for your response.
These details are already there in the file you got it from BET analyzer. Every detail such as pore size, pore volume and SSA (m2/g)... are there in the file
@@qamarwali sir thank you so much for your quick response. Is there any platform that i can contact to you personally if i have questions in the future. Basically, i am focusing on the surface structure of the catalysis. can i have your research gate link or any other if you have? Would be grateful to you.
@@waqasqureshi6196 just write Qamar Wali in RG, you will find my profile. You are welcome
Surface Area increases with increase in size while Specific Surface Area decreases with increase in size.
What does the broadness of hysteresis signify?
These hysteresis basically tells about the pores in materials. Whether it is nano (1 - 100 NM) , micro (larger than nano) or mesoporous ( 2- 50 NM)
Sir can you provide the link of the paper through which you have explained
Please explain Nitrogen adsorption / desorption method for finding surface area of catalyst
For catalysis, the same approach is applicable. The BET analyzer will reveal the specific surface area (m2/g), pore size, and pore volume....
Here which phase of nitrogen we can use for determine surface area?
Either liquied nitrogen /or gas nitrogen?
why the desorbed volume of gas comes at higher value or is higher than adsorbed volume in BET isotherm. isn't it like this.. whatever the amount is absorbed in the pores which is actually get desorbed in the desorption process so that desorped volume of gas either can be equal or less to absorped volume of gas. So, i dont understand Why in BET isotherm desoprtion curve comes higher than adsorption curve SIR.
I think it works like in similar pattern as hysterisis in case of magnetization. One curve for adsorption when N2 gas molecules sit in the pores and other curve when N2 gas molecules leave the pores.
Great sir g i work on ferrites CFO and NFO systhesise on hydrothermal method......
Good. All these characterization tools you will require during your experimental work. Let me know if I can help
Sir. Pls tell me how to give two color for isotherm graph.
Just click on the adsorption curve and fill the color from the top tab or go to the property. Similararly for the description curve.
@@qamarwali when I clik it, both curves selected..
How will I select adsorption curve only.
@@murugan5280 it works this way. Another way, just go to the plot property and ungroup the two plots. Then you will do what you wants with individual curve.
Sir please added some recent update 🙏
Sir please can you provide the paper link
This work is from my PhD thesis
You can search my google scholar profile with name of Qamar Wali
Thanks sir, keep teaching, it's really helpful.
