After seeing what these look like, I would love for them to make Scarecrow. That would open up so many possibilities.
Batman and Joker look awesome, but...If your going to do a line based around Scarecrow gas you need to release a bad ass Scarecrow to go with them!
That Batman vampire face is one of the coolest sculpts I've ever seen!

Anyway it does depend on the Robin because if its Jason Todd he could be ripped up and bloodied with and expression of agony on his face or Tim Drake as a detective type appearance and Dick maybe having something relating him not wanting to embrace the darkness yet to criminals he is the menacing defender of bludhaven and heir to the cowl

Some people are complaining that this is bordering on satanic.
Batman only has one rule, and he's even broke that rule in a few incarnations.
He's essentially a psycho on a war path, fueled by pure rage, and fear is his greatest weapon. Nothing godly OR satanic about him.
You want a godly boy scout? Go read and collect Superman stuff.
The way I see these beautiful statues is that Batman is the way his criminal prey look upon him and the Joker statue is the manifestation of his horrifyingly twisted psyche. I'll be buying both.
John Q love this , but I feel he is somewhat demonic , Batman was fueled by hate , conquered his fear and many ways that was the last of his innocence he got rid of, Batman is a self made demon , his is a dark story and many ways he never grew up, but instead grew into the vengeance we now today , something imperfectly perfect something real that's why fans show such a connection with him
Yea, but even superman has been turned into a villain by recent incarnations. I suspect society is getting so cynical that we see everything in darkness now.
FlezzDurjis and that is a sad thing one because we need optimism and light to compliment the darkness , and second because they have strayed him so far from his core character , Supermans humanity was his greatest power
Agreed, I miss the way superman and batman were able to exist in that darkness, but maintain that piece of light inside them, even if only a flicker. These art pieces are really cool, but seem to extinguish that light altogether.

Sometimes I feel the direction of the future Batman franchise should be given to such truly younger creative artists and storytellers rather than to the bureaucratic mess we have right now at WB. That batsuit alone speaks of the time and devotion that went into modelling this new look

I love this direction they're going with. I feel it's interesting to think about how the criminals see Batman, because usually they don't get a good look at him due to him only going out at night and him arresting or knocking out his enemies sometimes before they can even notice he's anywhere near them.

Its not from a comic. Its a general discreption of how most criminals perceive Batman. Even though people know that he's a superhero, whenever he's after criminals, he bottomline acts like a demon, a supernatural force that cant be killed, doesnt matter the size of the round your using.

The concept of making Batman look how he or villains see him works, but the issue with Joker is, he is already suppose to look like a nightmare clown anyway. So I'm not sure trying to make joker look like a nightmare joker works. A killer clown is already a nightmare. I would have done someone else instead, like Penguin, who has room for a nightmare looking version. A lessor known villan, Professor Pyg could look scary.

FrostedVoid I personally believe the Joker doesn't want to hurt Batman at all. I don't think they could exist without each other. The Joker's soul purpose is to break Batman, make him break the one rule he promised to never break. He might hurt Batman along the way, but I don't think he means to, or wants to kill him. He just wants to break him and prove that he's just a man wearing a mask, and that they aren't so different from on another. The only thing separating them is the fact that the Joker will kill, and Batman wont. Just my two-cents.
kyledavid true another difference between them is that joker is broken from tragedy from his own goodness that he allowed to crumple while batman didn’t sucome to tragedy and didn’t let that break his humanity that is the difference.
