When I first got into comics a few years ago, yes, the ridiculous amount of different writers and artists was confusing and then annoying. It's particularly awful when it's a full series so you only like a few volumes out of an entire run.
I feel this so much man, I have a manga and comic collection and I only recently started to get comics and it’s so hard to pick up stories because I don’t know what’s going on all the time so I pick up consistent stories like invincible, Batman single run stories and etc I can’t get into the big events because I’m not trying to read 30 plus things to get to that💀💀
You're spitting, I love manga but comics have so many different runs and artists it's easy to get lost. The exact reason I haven't been able to get into comics fr
Manga has the advantage of being simple. If you wanna read Dragonball, go pick up #1 and read until the end. US Superhero comics are a victim of their own success. They are now running for 80+ years in a (somewhat) continuous storyline. Thousands of comics and characters can be a huge mess to untangle, but if you are able to decipher it and find what you enjoy, it's a great fandom to be a part of. I love both, and I also acknowledge that Marvel/DC are daunting for new readers to pick up.
I enjoy both.

It's because you are only exposed to DC and marvel. just check out indie comics

The new Absolute Batman is a great place to start since it’s just a fresh new universe. Same goes for Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman
Yea. There are some good guides out there, but the lore of everything is usually so extensive. It's very intimidating.

cool video and nice editing hope you can grow!
Thanks!
I just had this same experience. I wanted to read the King in Black Saga from Marvel and I had to special order books just to get the story.
The last saga I REALLY enjoyed was probably Blackest Night

Very based take
Sometimes mangas are illustrated by different people, such as assistants and successors, and they usually adapt to the original artist's style.
W video, why is this so underrated
Thanks for watching!

Hey, any way we can get into a discord call to make a video about comics? You seem really into both comics and manga and I’m the same!
I love both
