A group brought me into the S5 elder aether and my portal is permanently unlocked for me now. didn't even need to do the easter egg to unlock it myself

I completed the new rift in elder with 1 minute left, no scorcher. Always start with the spores first, then do escort, then do the outlast. It will give you at most a minute and a half, my team decided to stay back to loot the reward rift again to see if they missed schematic, I left and I spectated them. They all didn’t make it other than me.
We went in last night with no scorchers and failed .We did the escort then had 4 of 6 of the spore mission .Ran out of time and couldn't find exfill and died but guess what Tombstone finally worked

You can’t speed up the process at all, and the insane amount of zombies (plus the fact they buffed high tier zombies AND nerfed dogs) makes it nearly impossible to do if you don’t have a VR-11. And if you need the Scorcher to mitigate that Elder Rift’s 15 minute timer, you either have to bring only one wonder weapon or significantly kneecap yourself against the swarms…

I just know my game is going to crash doing this. Probably after I get everything upgraded. That sounds about right. Took me forever last season to get that done. Kept crashing and losing the items.
I got everything upgraded and when it came to opening up the Aether . It did not opened try to collect my items back. Also would not give the diary back or the giraffe either . So I end up loosing it all. Now I have to do this all over again :(
For the purple diary you need to aether blade 5 mimics and can only be done in one game so say you get 4 and have to exfil you'll have to go in and do it all over again
I saw video, i think it was lego unlocked or mr dalek, and they were trying to figure out unlocking new DA and they found a triangle that spawned manglers just like the spot that spawns the mimics but only got like purp tool and pack 1 crystal from doing it,cuz they just killed em normal, but im thinking its like a secondary spot to kill specials with aether blade?? The triangle that spawned manglers is in tunnel, i believe its tunnel bishop i think is in? Its tunnel on edge of tier 2 by popov power!! I think they found the 3 things to activate triangle and had to lay prone next to a lampost near opening of tunnel to line up triangle and spawn in the manglers!!? Also i found out with 3rd DA that u dont need to kill megas/disciples that spawn out of portal after u put things on pillars in order for DA to be unlocked!? U just need to kill them to get the sigil from them but if u dont really need the sigil u dont need to kill them!? As soon as things r on pillars and it says dark aether unlocked its permanently unlocked and the boss that comes out is just to get sigil from!!? I figured it out cuz on 3rd DA portal disciple and megas he spawned glitched and it disappeared and like fell thru map or something cuz there was marker on map giving his position but he wasnt anywhere so wasn't able to kill him and just exfilled hoping it was still unlocked and it was!
Something I haven't figured out is how people found this out. Like easter eggs on old maps took longer than this, and these steps require specific items. I have to assume that people got the information from somewhere
lol no no no, not at all. You have THOUSANDS of people looking at the map in depth all at the same time. For example, we noticed the white arrows in Tier 3... then we saw that it was a path on both land and water, we tried all vehicles, but, we realized we needed the blood burner bike. Then someone else gets a piece when using the aether blade, because the aether blade is very common, getting special zombie kills with it isn't unlikely at all either. Then we realize, hey, it's the "last" update, and we need to use Schematics from Season 2 and Season 1, maybe we need to use a Season 3 schematic to get the last piece. Then we have hundreds and maybe thousands of people making suggestions and testing all the Season 3 stuff. Deadwire Detonators, the Sergeants Beret, and what do ya know, executing someone with a Sergeants Beret works! Then we notice all the triangles and 115 rocks around the map (that we've spent millions of hours on collectively), and hey that's easy to upgrade! The Zombies community is kind of amazing at this.

I've been in the zombies community for almost 14 years and I'm still super impressed because it seems like theres effectively no downtime between the update coming out and people figuring out the steps. Update : friend and I tried to upgrade it; I put mine in for attunement. It failed, and his purple diary disappeared. Unlike earlier unlocks, if you fail the attunement, it looks like you don't get your item back and you start from scratch.

I ran across another triangle to get aetherium in one of the tunnels close to the bird statue that you got the ph flopper at. It’s not the train tunnel but the tunnel the road runs through.
does the diary have to be mimics and does it have to be 100% health death with the blade or can you do gun then finish with the blade, i must of done 10 bounties in t1 and t2 and still no diary finishing with the blade
Where were you when you did it? Was it a free roaming special, or from a triangle or bounty? I’ve killed every damn special I cross with blade only and the diary is still not poppin up!!
I can't get the giraffe upgraded. I kill the mega and mimic and hell hounds and when i start on the disciple it spawns in another mega and more hell hounds and zombies. I even used a jug but no luck. Gonna try again tonight
What about the New trianglr in Al-abboud condos area? I find and shoot in ALL 3 but i cant find the right angel to Activate them. I think need a portal or scorched weapon tô fly and catch the right position in middle in the Air. Can you find and show tô us How to do? Ty Doughnuts
I have trouble with the echo of the locked dairy. Any tips on where it needs to be done how many? I tried a to kill a lot of mimics around the map. Don’t work. Killed different kind of specials. Tried te same spot as in the video but for some reason the triangle won’t activate for me. Can’t seem to find the right spot to get it lit up. And if I look at where others are to activated it, i am in that same spot.
Hey Doughnuts!! Regarding your question at 9:56 I actually tested that after I saw this video! It does not seem to work. I tried 2 different places where you could actually flop on it (the building you almost landed on, as well as the container next to it) and it did NOT work. It seems you have to be at a certain height for it to actually count!
I wish they hadnt done another escort in this season 5 DA!!!? Now 3 of the 4 DA's have escorts!!!? I like that they put a spore control in new DA but i wish they had a bounty instead of the escort!!!??
It took me 8 games to do the Popov Tower dive for the Golden Diary. The Mimic aether blade kills were kinda glitchy each time but my final attempt at the dive I did it first try: 1. Set button tap to ‘Dive, hold-to-slide’ 2. Have Stamina-up. 3. Mark nearest edge of blue container. 4. Run from R-side of tower rim. 5. Be holding the V-R11 for faster run and jump

I feel like loot has been nerfed. I’m just a zone two chiller but I’ve noticed a definite decline in the number of refined and flawless crystals I get from contracts. I used to get them quite regularly. Had to grind out containment with the slug and didn’t get many
I dont think you even need to kill the boss that spawns out of the portal, I think that as long as you put all 4 items in the pedestals, you can access the portal whenever.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned that the triangles no longer give you 3pap crystal and leg tool. I tired twice yesterday and in both cases I only got blue tool and 1pap crystal and a third item which I don't remember (a two plate vest?). No 2k essence either
@@ModernGameShorts i know what you mean, but completing the triangle (for rewards) didn't prevent other people from using them to upgrade their items. As it stands now, if you're in T3 you need appropriate weapon and gear to stay alive there. At which point the current rewards are useless. Previously you could, once in a while by pass the upgrading and grinding process and stay in T3 longer.

You get two options, offer and drop. Seems like offer would be what you give an alternative but nope, this is MWZ so you drop. If you did this, no clue but I tried offering in the last 2 dark aether portals and did it again on this one (Slow learner) at first until I remembered to drop. Hope you get it to work either way.

So any more or better info on the aether blade kills? Tried it a few times on the bridge with the mimics, but wont work. Even other mimics won't do it...
@@shawn9256 hi. I tried it a few hours ago with the mass of mimics method and it worked. Just stay in water, shoot the mimics and kill them with the aether blade. Needed 4 or so (solo) But i couldn't get the other part where you jump down from the chimney. And i lost my diary...
@@Ehrenfried2740 I think it has to be a double kill on specials. After watching several videos, that’s my conclusion. Not one video of any of the people claiming you can get it from a single kill elsewhere. But slowing down the vids right before the reward pops up, there’s always 2+ specials being killed on the same throw of the blade. Hopefully I’ll find out today!

NEED HELP PLEASE! So I missed the container phlop and time ran out. My diary disappeared. Went back to try and get the diary again. The only thing I got was a triangle reward rift. What do I need to do? Any help would be appreciated.
Anyone have an issue with putting the offerings in and the aether not spawning ? My buddy and I brought 2 different items each and put them in. Yes they were all gold. And it didn’t spawn Glitch ?

Bro I did the Sargent Barrett at 1:56 - twice and finisher the mercenary 2 times and I haven’t gotten the giraffe. To be clear I did a finisher on a mercenaries with the sergeant Barrett it didn’t work. I ex-filed failed came back with another sergeant Barrett re-tried and it didn’t work.
I tried to execute but it doesn't allow me to I'm standing behind a mercenary .. I tried holding the melee button but it doesn't do a finishing move .. so what am I doing wrong ??

Does anyone know why I played a game today and the DA rift is already showing for me. I've only upgraded one of the relics, but there it was showing up for me when I helped someone do the season 5 story mission. I'm going to try it out later tonight to see if I can use it.

We really struggled with the jumping off the nuclear tower .Took three times redoing the mimic blades because the orange rift will stop after a while

In addition I think as long as the finishing blow is with an Aether Blade, it should work. On Bounty bosses as well.

The Echo of the Locked Diary is 100% special zombies. Got it last night in T3 with a Disciple on the Escort.

im doing this in 4 games, game is garbage and crashes always while doing this, last time i lost upgraded items 2 times

hey donuts, yes you have to dive off the top of the tower im not sure but i think its only activated from the from the explosion power from up there.

You get two options, offer and drop. Seems like offer would be what you give an alternative but nope, this is MWZ so you drop. If you did this, no clue but I tried offering in the last 2 dark aether portals and did it again on this one (Slow learner) at first until I remembered to drop. Hope you get it to work either way.

I do not know how to PHD flop. Also, I ran off the top and could not reach the trailer and would “die”.

I tried it a few hours ago with the mass of mimics method and it worked.
Just stay in water, shoot the mimics and kill them with the aether blade.
Needed 4 or so (solo)
But i couldn't get the other part where you jump down from the chimney.
And i lost my diary...
@@Ehrenfried2740 I think it has to be a double kill on specials. After watching several videos, that’s my conclusion. Not one video of any of the people claiming you can get it from a single kill elsewhere. But slowing down the vids right before the reward pops up, there’s always 2+ specials being killed on the same throw of the blade. Hopefully I’ll find out today!

NEED HELP PLEASE! So I missed the container phlop and time ran out. My diary disappeared. Went back to try and get the diary again. The only thing I got was a triangle reward rift. What do I need to do? Any help would be appreciated.

Bro I did the Sargent Barrett at 1:56 - twice and finisher the mercenary 2 times and I haven’t gotten the giraffe. To be clear I did a finisher on a mercenaries with the sergeant Barrett it didn’t work. I ex-filed failed came back with another sergeant Barrett re-tried and it didn’t work.
Have you completed the story mission with Mr. Peeks in your inventory?

Does anyone know why I played a game today and the DA rift is already showing for me. I've only upgraded one of the relics, but there it was showing up for me when I helped someone do the season 5 story mission. I'm going to try it out later tonight to see if I can use it.
Did you go into the new DA yet with someone else who opened it in your party? That would unlock it for you as well, otherwise not sure.
