Appreciate the compilation. You realize, of course, that you used a clip of Markie Post for the Ellen Foley segment .. I understand Foley was only on for a short time, but ...
I always thought of this show as darker even though it really wasn't. They did a good job at keeping that Night vibe. It just seemed very different. It's a classic just like the rest of them!!
NICELY DONE!!! LOVE how you put in CLIPS of the actors from the show, that helps a LOT with remembering who they were besides just their name on the show or real life for that matter. Thanks for that. This was one of my FAVORITE shows.
During my spring break back in 1987. My professor was able to get tickets for me and my friends, for a taping of Night Court. It was the last show of the 1986-87 season. It was the best part of the trip.
You forgot these. Gail Strickland as public defender Sheila Gardner in the pilot. Mike Finneran as Art. Martin Garner as Bernie Terry Kiser as Al Craven Jason Bernard as Judge Willard Rita Taggart as Carla Bouvier Ron Ross as Dirk the wimpy baliff Denice Kumagui as Qoun Le Duc Robinson as Mac's wife Mel Torme as himself William Utay as Phil Sanders Brent Spiner as Bob Wheeler Annie O'Donnell as June Wheeler Leslie Bevis as Sheila Yakov Smirnoff as Yakov Eugene Roche as Jack Sullivan Dan Frischman as DA Vincent Daniels, Dan's boss. Marc Jordan as Jack Griffin, the blind man Joleen Lutz as Lisette Hochiester the ditzy stenographer Gilbert Godfrey as Oscar Brown who filled in for Dan as times. Floerence Stanley as Judge Margaret Wilbur who filled in for Harry. The only character that crossed over from My Two Dads These are mostly supporting cast except for Gail Strickland. I mentioned them because they were part of the central storylines of the characters involved.
If anyone ever knew about Marky Post, she used to be one of the staff on the TV game show Split Second back in the seventies because if you go on UA-cam to the last episode, everyone is being introduced, & she’s one of the people
I met Markie Post some twenty years ago. Long story, but we had to talk for a little while. She had just arrived back in the U. S. from overseas on a long airplane flight. As I recall, she had been travelling with her two grade school aged children. She was exhausted and not with stage make up. Probably not a fresh face in any form. She was the nicest person anyone could wish and she looked as good as she did on television.
@@FactsVerse She was nice, personable and charming. If she was faking, she was very good at it; at the time I was paid to spot and do something about fakes.
Takes me back. My late father (1913-2008) was very picky about what TV he watched. He loved Night Court, which always kind of surprised me, knowing my Dad. I remember John Lauroquette winning an Emmy for his portrayal, holding it up and stating it made “great julienne fries!” He is a very funny man.
Thanks for putting this on. I so glad to see so many, still with us. You know Hollywood should give all these actors, a second look. They act so natural. I would say John Larroquette was my favorite. He put the swam back in swami.
I was 9 when that show came out, anyone els remember that episode where Harry and some other guy were having a “Joke off”, and Dan was always put in front of all the pranks? Lol
I knew Harry Anderson early 2000s he lived in New Orleans he was a regular at Walgreens where I worked very nice and approachable guy sure sorry when I heard he passed
Ellen Foley, the public defender before Markie Post, was the singer with Meatloaf on Paradise by the Dashboard Light. That song was awesome and Ellen was HOT!
Good to see Markie Post didn't have nine facelifts to make herself look like a surprised catfish like so many others that were TV stars back in that time.
The story behind John larraoquette Was in the show neither was his biological name or last name was on his birth certificate. First name I know in reality. Reingholdt Last name I do not know. It was revealed that his birth year 1943 he leagally changed to 47. He also revealed on the air with a talk show host. Larroquette Louisiana was the name of the town he lived in. That’s where he got his last name.
Great ride down memory lane as I grew up watching this as it was one of my faves. However, your footage of Ellen Foley was wrong as it was with Markie Post instead and I had to keep turning up and down my volume as the sound levels were different between show footage and the music you added in between footage.
First one of these "Then and Now" vids that I actually learned something. I didn't know Harry had passed. Second I didn't know that Richard Moll wasn't really bald and I found out Markie Post is still Gorgeous even at 70. Good video. Thanks.
In the new updated version John Larroquette reprises his role, it would be great if Marcia Warfield and Richard Moll get to reprise their roles as well, or were they asked to appear, or did each one decline the offer. Marcia I know is doing nightclub appearances, not sure what Richard is up to. But between the two they made the show work . Harry Anderson R.I.P and the rest of the cast that is longer with us.
I was born in 1980, I literally grew up with this show, I really loved this video, also, I got about 300 more grey hairs while watching it as I realized 1985 was 36 years ago. WTF have I done with my life? I think I'm having a crisis...oh, Night Court, great show, I need to watch one on Cheers now so I can go jump off a bridge.
Best theme tune. Just jammed to it 5 times in a row!!!!! Then watched the Family Guy joke of Bill Clinton playing it with thr secret service. Hahahahah classic.
The Spin City clip of Ellen Foley is a clip of Markie Post. The “now” clip of Richard Moll is actually of Barry Bostwick who played the Mayor in Spin City.

There was so much talent on this show. It's difficult to find a complete set, just individual seasons. It's still very funny and has aged well.
A great show with a great cast. This cast always made me feel happy and comfortable, a real pleasure to watch. Markie Post, what a beauty.
I loved Night Court. Those guys used to crack me up. One of the best on TV.
I loved watching Night Court when I was a kid.. The cast that’s still living looks good...
I watched reruns of this show whenever possible. I worked nights when it was live. Great show

Markie Post was gorgeous, then and now. Age didn't harm her hardly at all.
John Larroquette on the NEW "Night Court" is just as wonderful as he was on the show 30 years ago!
