I have a Beat Buddy and looking for a looper that syncs well. I try to use Quantiloop but keep having different problems so I need a physical looper for it…thanks!
That Boomerang is supposedly plagued with some much quality control issues that none of the major instrutment dealer here in the us is carrying them due to extremely high return rate.
wow never heard that, I just commented on Brad Barrs post with his 20 yr old boomerang still craniking away. Ive never heard of quality control issues, I have only heard of control issues regarding only him selling his own pedals.
Hi Suke, your "Looping Rig" video is great and you are doing a great job. I want to buy all five of your books and your CDs, but I don't have that much money. I am retired and can only pay in euros with IDEAL. Is it possible to pay in euros via IDEAL in the Netherlands? Are you also coming to perform in Europe?
If you are ok with me asking a question, I have been using a boomerang for a long time and borrowed a beatbuddy to try it out. Worked well but on songs where I wanted to use ONLY the boomerang the beatbuddy would still activate so if I wanted to use just the boomerang I had to unplug the midi cable. Any ideas on a solution? Thanks in advance
Man, that one is a bugger, there really is not a workaround other that unplugging MIDI cable or using sidecar to TAP tempo as you play. Any devices synched has this issue
Thank you, you were gracious enough to send a reply, I hope you don't mind one more question. I see your setup has the Beatbuddy as the master, how do you avoid recording the beat into the Boomerang, creating two drum tracks overlapping and boosting the sound?
Ah I see. I had watched the vid then came back a week later and just looked at a still shot and didn't see that. Was scrambling last night for a gig, ended up using the BB first, still sounded great, just had to kill the BB after looping. Looking forward to trying it this way. Appreciate the guidance!
Goo question, I had to look it up. It depends on the audio qualtiy 48k or 24K stereo or mono. I use 24k and mono since its just guitar. but its about 18 minutes. I've never hit the limit while doing songs. It souds low but remember the Boomerang cannot store audio. Once you unplug its gone.
Same set up as me tried many other loopers but always come back to the boomerang and beatbuddy combo ,glad others agree
I think I have to try this - love my beat buddy - but not their looper…
It amazes me that the boomerang is still by far the best live looper after all these years, so intuitive and sounds great.
I know, it seems dated, but its solid, it works, and sounds great
Thanks for responding to my question about your gear. Look forward to more videos.
Thank you and more on the way! Keep playing!
Wow! Fantastic. Thank you so much for this.
Thank you! Glad you liked it, super fun and musical having a loop rig
Super cool
Great video - thanks 🙏
@@DaveOnBass Thank you for watching
Whoa!… you can use it with the beat buddy? Sweet! 🤘
Oh yes, that opened so many doors for grooving

Can you tell me how to sync the Beatbuddy with the Rang?
@@guitarmanmattspears there is a MIDI break out cable from Singular sound that will do it. Follow the link in the more info

@@barstoolshadow the Beat Buddy is at the end of the signal chain, after the Boomerang. Out the Boom into the BB. But I also use separate outs on both

Tanks Suke. How long is loop?: see manuals on Internet!
The acoustic tone is pretty rough, as it is on modeling guitars, but I appreciate the informative video!
oh yeah, modelling is just not the same, especially with instrument modeling. Its the trade off of having the band in your hands.
