Year 2024 Just like other comment said, i used to listen to this back at my high school's computers. Those were good times... coming back here, it's like going back to thoae days.
I listened to this in 2007 in the computer lab of highschool during a biology class, just came back to say how much I still appreciate it a quarter of a century later.
This UA-cam video encouraged me to buy a guitar as a 14 year old. 12 years later I still know jack shit about how to play the guitar, but this rendition is still goddamn amazingl Props xRisingForcex
First time I heard this was 4 years ago. Had to rummage youtube just to find it again. At the time, this completely mesmerized me (I had just started to find my way across the fretboard). Man, this cover must be the best I've heard so far, coz after a few years of learning and getting better and getting pretty good, I still feel like that kid seeing a future self when you play - being inspired. You've done a great job and on behalf of all the Internet, all those who played MMZ growing up (guitarists and non-guitarists alike), I thank you.
After all this years I still revisit this video and still really like your arrangement. The way you start progressively adding tweaks to the melody line and your overall sensitivity never stops feeling soothing to me. Gotta say, I kind of miss your short piece about Keiji Inafune and Megaman X's maturity, if my memory serves me well. I'd gladly read that and more from you. Anyway, nice cover!
an announcement video is forthcoming.. but you all have waited long enough for this! thanks so much for hanging with me! soundcloud.com/materiavgm/esperanto
40,000 views? i thought rockman zero occupied the niche of videogame niches, but i couldn't be happier to be wrong :) you guys are all awesome, thank you so much :)
I first heard this cover 8 years ago. I was blown away. Megaman was, and still is, one of my favorite franchises ever, and to hear this cover made me happy. Hearing it today brings me back to my childhood and reminds me how care-free I used to be, playing Megaman Zero 4 on my GBA SP. Thank you for this video, friend.
Man...I have to say that you touch me every time I watch the remix! The song itself is a mystic piece, and you remix it keeping that sad feeling... you're an admirable musician my friend!
This is what UA-cam was made for; showcasing your talents and skills, and putting a message out there. Not the videos of cops beating up skaters. That being said, I appreciate the series in much the same way you apparently do, but I've yet to know someone who's given it as much thought as you have, including myself. Lastly, thanks for an inspiring remix of one of my favorite songs.
PEOPLE! TAKE TIME TO READ THIS DUDES DESCRIPTION!!! Not only are you a fricken genius man, you've thoroughly analyzed the key concepts of this game between our ability to make choices that can change our society with those who are able to expel their feelings on how they're feeling about their surroundings to make a change. Zero and the Ciel Resistance force. Good man, and great vid.
You know, ignoring the ridiculously fantastic guitar playing. Ok that's not possible, but besides the fantastic musical talent, oh and also the thought provoking write ups in some of his videos. Ok besides THOSE things, the thing I note most about Rising is the way he's pretty humble, and always makes an effort to talk back to those that appreciate his preformances. Right on!
After reading the 'About This Video', I set the vid to play again as I type this out. I have to actually fight not to let the tears run down my face. I can scarcly believe that you replay it and throw in a few remixes so well. You do this more justice than words could possibly describe. 5 Stars, Favorited, And a standing ovation that you will never see or hear. Thank you for this.
wow...after reading the "About This Video"...wow...I cant even begin to explain how this song touches my soul, and you just did SO well that...well, I'm downright speechless. I didnt know anybody else who could relate about my feelings of Esperanto...Thank you.
As a great fan of the entire Megaman series from begining to end, you have made this game look a hundred times better then what I can manage. You have heard this alot but you are an extremely talented musician, to capture the pure image of the song and the game together and make it a masterpeice. If Keiji Inafune saw this he would cry tears of joy.Sick video man, you are officialy suscribed!
man, you definitely put a lot of effort into that, i read the video's description and I can see that you really are a true rockman fan to actually analyze the plot so deeply, btw you're right, we as a race have persecuted many things that are different to us, I just didn't think much about how Inafune was trying to send that message in the series. Kudos
I know im late to compliment you and tbh I played this game years back but the second I saw this video which was a good few years back man I loved Esperanto just in game you wont beleive how many times I did a play thru of that one level alone just to listen to that one song as well as the final level just when I thought it couldn't sound anymore amazing you breathed new life into it and made it new fresh and overall made me love it that much more im so glad you took the time to do this cause ive heard this video countless times to man to number and I beleive it is just tear jerking awe inspiring and overall it really touched me :)
you got me tearin up already cuz and i only read the about the video part i remember always watchin u play mega man from young up to now and noticed the different changes but never thought to ask the difference as to how it was portrayed but thank you rising for settin a whole new light for me
its a fender stratocaster 50/early 60's style probably american with a scalloped neck, he has probably replaced the pickups for some HS-3 dimarzios for a chunkier and more powerful tone. remember tuning a strat down half a step really brings it to life.
Hey again Rising, I posted a few months ago. i wanted to personaly thank you for your insight to the series that I used in my college paper. Thanks to you, I got the top grade in my post modern philosophy class. Thank you thank you thank you!
There seriously need to be more fan covers of Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX music. Most people focus on the music of the first three Mega Man games (mostly Mega Man II and Mega Man III) and even some of the earlier X games, but no one seems to even know about the Zero and ZX games, which is a shame, because they have outstanding music!
I don't know who you are, but you've deeply impressed me with you thoughtful analysis of the evolution of Mega Man and, of course, your awesome rendition of Esperanto. I really have to agree with you that this song is the single greatest modern Mega Man song. All fanboy-ism aside, you're one shrewd fella. Thanks a lot.
You, my friend. Are amazing, loved it. I'm glad you understand the storyline. Keiji Inafune truly is genius. 5 stars. Amazing work on the info and your talents. =3
same here,he went into alot of detail in how the original series shifted to X and the stories that binded them, made ya think about the whole series while listening to it :(
oh yes, you are definately amazing my friend. I got excited when I saw this new video pop up. As always, your performances are nothing short of phenomenal. Rock On, pal.
Give that guy a raise! Recognize the greatness, It could not possibly get better than this. Seriously, I wish I could get your rendition of Esperanto on my Ipod, RF. I can honestly say that my day isnt complete if I dont hear this atleast twice lol +1 to TheRock only because I cant do it more than once :)
nice view on megaman. You actually made me realize some things I never thought about before :O I never really noticed how sad this song sounded until now
You dramatically changed my viewpoint of MMZ games. Mass elimination of reploids just because of a lack of energy and prejudism. Megaman Zero 4 uses that and takes it to the next level, with the madman whom caused the greatest war in history reigns as king. Great remix to a great song, btw. "I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!"
Damn, your play is SO FULL of energy! It has so much energy that if I close my eyes, I imagine myself playing Umegaki's piece as lead guitar on a scenario =O Props dude. May the red armored hero live on forever.
I'm a mad fan of MegaMan, on the whole of it's extension. However, I never focused so deep on MMZ series and I must say, hats off. You are 100% right. Zero, UBER MAD AWESOMEST HERO!! And great job on this song, must say I first heard it on a MM2 hack. 5/5 cause that's the max I'm allowed to give you.
I actually emulated this on my PSP. Great emulation, not 100 % perfect, the scrolling was a tiny bit off, but the larger screen and a button setup better than that on my DS Lite made it a joy to play.
Let me be honest... It was the video description that made me favorite this. I admire your skill with the guitar, but that instrument is not what I am into when it comes to music. @@elementallobsterx shucks man, appreciate the kind words. can't believe how old this video is getting!

oops, didn't mean to remove your comment. the guitar is a fender strat, with hs-3 pups and a scalloped neck
This reminds me how incredible the music was in the Zero Series, definitely one of the most underrated series
Dude, I could listen to just this on my way to school, during school, and on the way home. About 7-8 hours. And do it everyday.
Two years late, but I'm really thankful to you for having found the old text we were all looking for!! Bravo!
Found this rendition of your song around when you put it out. To this day I still love how you play this song.
using one of the best themes of MZ4 + your skillz = one badass theme!!!
IT ROCKS!!!
Is it me or MMZ is underrated in a big way ? ... I fucking love it

this is impressive, i enjoyed listening to it. The zero series were grand indeed.
This is easily the most amazing remix I have ever heard of a Rockman Zero song...
You rock!!!

Amazing. Beautiful interpretation! Don't listen to the bitter and jealous children, and don't humor them with responses!
@xRisingForcex
LIES! It was one of the best descriptions of the entire Megaman Universe. Please bring it back!
Let me be honest... It was the video description that made me favorite this. I admire your skill with the guitar, but that instrument is not what I am into when it comes to music.
Regardless, I recognize you did an excellent job in rendering this theme. It captivated me, making me think of what was sealed in its composition. But it was after reading the description that I let a small tear down.
You are both an amazing guitar player and formal writer. Hope to see more like this in the future.
i never really played the megaman zero series but this song is really nice. X series was a series i got into though, and the X vs Zero theme was just awesome. megaman games just always are gonna have great music it seems.
This is beyond great keep it up bro I would even buy a album if you ever made one official for all of these cover songs
Yeah, I damn reccomend the 1987x to anyone lookin for that olde vintage marshall tone. Mine's actually in repair at the moment, it started to make hissing sounds and I think the valves need a look at, but it's still great!
Absolutely. I mean, the DS Lite has everything the GBASP has AND a shitload more.
I remember reading about some people modding your GBA so that it had a built-in backlight similar to the SP, only it was a lot sharper and brighter. Maybe I should have done that to my old GBA.
After taking a single look at this video, I'm astounded by your mental prowess. Not to mention, you're quite adept at guitar. I fully enjoyed this, as a matter of fact, I come back daily to watch it. It has been the BGM of my PC for a few days now.
Keep up the good work. I hope to see more from you.
Also, I subscribed. =)
dude i feel like jumping in the computer and giving u a hug rite now u seriously rock
Shit, reading your info box nearly brought me to tears, and the end of it did make me drop a few. True Zero fashion.
beautiful clean work. I like your vibrato bend-pull technique. Maybe, one day I can learn to be as expressive as you are.
Instant fave, and BTW, I always knew that kind of stuff was going on with the series. And it sucks that even though it's supposed to make people think, they don't.
Amazing song...
and incredible guitar playing. o.o that was scary good.
I analyzed your video for an obsessively long time
And I've finally learned how to play it :D
except at the parts that sound just like 0:28, I played them all an octave higher
You are amazing for coming up with this

RockMan Zero and the RockMan X Series is Just Awesome. Period and End of Story.
i love your version. as always great playing.from all rockman zero games the fourth in my opinion has the best soundtrack.
@LithiumJack thank you man, just know there's an accompanying video in the works :)

it's good to see that there are other hardcore rockman fans :D. especially when they play one of the most awesome tune of the entire rockman history.
