    Hi Rod love your lessons Brilliant! Always wanted to update my tap. I am 75 so was taught to tapdance In the 1950 s. Your lessons are great I have no problem with the steps At my level, it's remembering the sequence 😊. Age LOL

      Thanks so much! Remembering the sequences will improve over time - that was always hard for me too! So glad to have you tapping with me!

    I thought I was going to go crazy without my tap class during this pandemic. Then, I found your UA-cam videos and you saved the day! I love the way you teach Rod and this is a great video. Thank you so much!

    Rod, this is great! Just found this and I'd like to teach it to my class as I wanted to do a swing time with them. Do you have a suggestion for the swing music please? Thank you.

      I'm sorry I don't - it's harder to find swing music in 6's.

    Thank you so much for your videos, Rod. This is awesome. I am really going to improve in my technique. :) I found you as I am learning a variation of your L-O-V-E choreography in my class which is great fun! Been tapping about a year and a half now.
    I was wondering if you or anyone else could tell me the name of the step at 3:00 which seems like the side of the foot is hitting the ground or something? Cannot make out the name, have not seen this step before and can't find it by Google searching..
    Thanks everyone, have a great day. :)

      I call it a clunk but others call it a side slam and sometimes a flam.

    I'm probably considered advanced-beginner or beginner-intermediate...Been doing adult tap for about a year and a half - class is 1 night a week, but I practice several times a week, watch videos frequently, and make up my own combos for practice, plus combos from the class I take (and I took tap as a teenager), and don't really feel like I've advanced much. How long does it take to get to advanced level?

    • @unitedtaps

      It's different for everyone. Practicing an hour a day - maybe in a few years...

    Does it help if we swing our arms with the moves & point the body into the direction of movement? Or is this just optional?

    • @unitedtaps
      @unitedtaps  8 років тому +1

      It's optional:) But it may help you.
