Kudos for showing the more technical aspects of a sound setup. A proper AMP/DSP and tuning is way more important IMO to get proper SQ than any speakers!
Quick question the mic was placed in the passenger side for tuning and then final listening/testing from the drivers side listening position? Did you flip the location or retune? Thanks
Hey Luke, quick question, is your custom house curve intentionally flat with no low end extention because you are using that small shallow subwoofer? Do you have a different curve for a full suzed 12in? In my experience a curve like that willbe very flat sounding and packing body and impact.
We found that the curves given were too bass heavy and for our demo car, we wanted something less bass heavy on this system as the sub could take over and deliver depth when required
Hey Luke, I see that you are using a single channel for the subwoofer, why wouldn't you Bridge 13/14 so you could feed the Sub-amp with two RCA signals?
I saw you addressed this in other comments, but it is very confusing when you setup TA with a tape measure for the driver seat, but then Acordo automatically sets TA for the passenger and then you listen in the driver seat again. Tape measure step is not nesecary at all if using Acordo auto TA.
We use it to check everything, we do not just assume everything is perfectly correct. Also the video is not filmed in one take, we tuned for driver position then listened :)
I have tried both and found the tape measure method to be more accurate. Also don't use the Dayton audio UMM6 as it doesn't have a 90 deg calibration file. I have since got a different mic that has the 90 deg cal file so will have to see if accordo works better with that.
Yes, low volume compared to OEM, also much weaker Bass with Accordo :) Although input equalizer was flattened, results did not make me happy with Accordo.
@@CambridgeCarAudio that's interesting. I nearly lost all my bass, then made RTA with my hand to fix. I think AF C8.14 Bit's CH5/6 and CH7/8 as bridged are enough to deliver power for APBX 8DS?

No problem at all :)
What are you using to bridge radio to dsp? Also, what are you using the rear deck speakers for exactly?
Optical module and Audison Prima speakers
@CambridgeCarAudio Can you link which Opitical module your using
Thanks for the video. Is it normal for XOs to overlap a little? I noticed the sub and woofers have 50Hz overlap.
Hi, no problem, all depends on the system
Does the bitDrive 2.0 and accordo work with all their dsp? Like the bit ten
@@eyvindurleo nope, only Forza range

@@gary991 Yes we do, that was only as it was our demo car car

@@TheNiner29er it’s using an active sub in this system

So in this video, did you show the two ways it can be calibrated or do you have to do the manual part with the tape measure etc and set up wizard?

We do both to ensure perfection
:)
Did you have any issues with not enough volume when trying to do accordo?
On some cars, yes, we then manually tune after to get the desired sound

@@emirlion5832 we found that you get a lot more bass and need to tone that side down

Why don't you install the Mile 500r??? the ribbon midrange
Every spec is different, this is a demo car so it is showing a popular option we do on BMW's
Same as the alpine dsp???
Nope
