What up PBW, you may not remember me but I was Charizma friend (Charles Hicks from M-Town) and you, Charizma, Cashis, and myself used to work on music in the room back in M-Town, KZSU, KSSJ. I still have picks of us from the early 90's before Charles passing. Glad to see your doing well.
Young Mack, like a giddy school kid soaking up more chapters of the story of hip hop like a giant sponge. So dope, also we really need to get those turntables in every second grade classroom
I remember when I first heard about my vinyl weighs a ton then finding a copy on CD blew my mind. I was always into turntablism but this was so dedicated to the artform. I am heavily invested in Stones Throw and have branched out my musical taste by what the label has introduced to me although my taste was always pretty eclectic. Thank you for sharing this interview Harry, love you both.
What a trip to memory lane with these two, great content as,always! PBW really didn't like Harry bending that album cover tho 😂 I know enough vinyl addicts to know that is already rare you may touch one of them in the first place, let alone bending it in front of his eyes (even though it was to illustrate the bar).
Pretty sure that room with all the turntables at q-bert’s is where all the shiggar fragger shows were filmed. If you’re not familiar UA-cam it. Classic.
Omg he had me at Schoolly-D! Smoke Some Kill is still in my top 20. I saw him live in Ottawa Ontario touring the next album. DJ Code Money was sick as a dog that night and only about 15 people even showed up, but they went off. They even let fans come to their dressing room after and gave out free autographed 12" singles to anyone who wasn't too cool to go say hi. I think I actually saw Twin Hype open up for someone else back in the day too, but man that's a long time ago. It's hard to be sure. I DO remember being a one turntable bedroom scratch DJ though 😂
.....pushing past the boundary .....every sound is free .....rappers never clowning me. Alright, there he said it. he has gone over the boundary that was set for years in the freestyle game that no other could cross and these rappers will never come close to him 'cause he set the bar too high now. The message well recieved, Sir Mack! @1:05:05
Hey Harry think our border is wide open fentynal is being trafficked And woman and kids are being trafficked. We are in trouble We need someone like you with heart and musical skills to raise awareness . Please research and Open your mind
