I think these changes are nice tbh. I personally didn't want a complete rework of the class. I liked it the way it was but it did need some improvements, and I would say it got just that. Most everything about the class got improved in some way. Especially mobbing. We'll have to see numbers on the bossing skill changes but it should be better on average due to skill cap. Stardust is much faster, shorter, but that only helps the improved explosion. Bats are better. Every certain number of bats summoned, an "enhanced" bat is summoned that mobs. Omen looks like it got a hit box increase. Shadow servant cast delay was decreased as well. 9/10 remaster for me.
to be fair, night walker mobbing is actually cracked due to bats. but yeah, disappointing to see that it's basically current night walker with a visual update and some range updates to bind and dark omen. night walker mains might be happy to see it hasn't changed much though
Isn't NW supposed to be that way? Their 1v1 bossing kit and dpm is insane. NL might have better burst but their kit and off burst is ass compared to NW.
@@navigator2113 but has a lot better mobbing, did you ever even used spark? feels like avenger but with more delay and clunky. nw def deserved some mobbing love. nl got hitbox increase and 1/3 faster attacking + new shurikens out the att. we got smaller hitbox less damage. its dumb
Speaking solely on the mobbing skill, I personally see it as an improvement. They removed the startup delay, shoots out much faster compared to before, better explosion lines, shorter range to help utilize said explosion, better fd node, and objectively better animation.
Is there a way we can reach out and slap nexon in the face for not giving NW a good main mobbing skill. If they like the avenger that much imma need to see some reach and size increase or something. Geez louise
fan of no more Jump Attacking/Sticky Keys. While that gave the class a bit of mechanical depth. it was such a nuisance when it came to just playing the game. 90% of the time i'd just be playing without it and had to go turn it on for bossing. The overall kit remaining the same is a little boring but still fine, Night Walker had a lot of powerful tools in their kit despite the small amount of varying attacks. a shield to absorb damage, dark sight, back steps, teleports, passive life steal. strong burst. And their mobbing is also pretty strong with higher investment and later 5th job skills. Pretty excited for the changes just improving an already fun job. Might swap back to it.
Does jump attack not a requirement after the patch? I really hated that where i just drop NW after getting to 180lvl cause tested the sticky key on boss its really annoying rather than a mechanic.
@@veiwern8132 Yep it's gone! they sped up the animations to make up for the removal of the animation cancel with jump attacking. The bat that floats above your head (correct me if I'm wrong) is a damage bonus you gain for moving and jumping similar to Illium Link Skill. Jump attacking occasionally might be required to maintain it. but the timer is very generous so a lot more freedom with Night Walker now!

There shouldnt be a dpm drop. If you didnt watch the announcement stream they made it the same as if you were jump attacking. They also stated that jump attacking isn't required but you can still do it so IF its the same I dont see a reason for why you want to. I feel like this should actually increase average DPM because skill gap is lowered

I personally think the identity of the class was having the bats flying around but a handful of newer classes basically have the same thing now so its no longer special.
Nothing will change even if you jump attack… they fix that issue with this revamp but if you did continue with jump attack it still will not show any increase in your dps meaning you can still jump attack if you want but it won’t matter

*cries in Lara* Our mobbing skill for Lara is from level 10 to 300. It does get slightly bigger as you job advance but it's literally called "Sprinkle" which is perfect because it does 4 lines of mediocre damage.
As a TB main i really like the whole 1 to 3 abilities that just get enhanced only reason i play TB is due to having a bunch of abilities that you can mix and match but if the class does nothing with it im happy with them just giving us a few attack abilites that can get toggled to change or passives that change what they do as well idk might be on the minority on that one.
Its cool we get actual mobbing skills first and second job in this release. Right now its just lucky seven and triple throw. Only way to mob is bats. Even though its actually not that bad. Its cool that they fixed the bind skill and dominion looks awesome but it sucks that the install skill still has a very short duration and sucks that they still have to many buffs to activate before bursting.

Wow I’m surprised the animation really bring out the class. So happy they revamped the skills. As a NW main, I’m happy. Honestly I’ve played NL in the good old days back when NL’s third job skill has a skill called Avenger. So glad they decided to upgraded it for better animations and slightly tweaked it. What can I say, I’m more of a traditional mapler. 🤣✌️
im actually glad they didnt change much. I didnt want them to mess it up by going overboard. and plus, it keeps away any bandwaggoners. I want this class to be rare breed..

As a 2nd job skill the boost node will be 4% instead of 2% so it should be fine

Remember its built for kms atk spd 2. Gms has atk spd 0 so things might break and be better out of the box for us.
