Always a journey back to my childhood with you. I had so many of these dolls and totally forgot about them, but as soon as you show them I'm like "oh my god! I had the exact same doll!", like the 1991 mermaid, or the fountain mermaid. I had so many, but only played with the Baywatch Barbie. She was my favorite and for my sister it was a Cowboy Barbie with black hair in an awesome red dress, which was so cool! So thank you for bringing back so so many memories 💖💖💖

The restyled Fountain Mermaid Barbie is giving me everything Barbie: Princess Adventure was trying to do! Love her! And with those floral stockings! Such a great makeover. I only have one mermaid doll in my collection - Elina in Fairytopia: Mermaidia. I loved that doll as a child and I still love her even though she's gone mouldy and I had to sanitise her three or four times over. The only downsides are she has soft rubber legs without any kind of articulation and the only piece of clothing being her poofy jellyfish style skirt. Your Fairytopia mermaid makeovers are so damn cute too! You really get the attitude and personality across with these! The blonde's face is so "will defend her friends til her death" kinda fierce, but then her makeup, hair and outfit are so sweet. Christie has such a "sweet but will curse you out if you're a rude ass mf" vibe in this version and I love the dress you chose for her. It's just busy enough that it really doesn't disrupt anything, or make her look softer.

I still have the Bubbling Mermaid Barbie! And yes, the tail turns into a bluish shade in when she's exposed to a cooler environment/temperature... and back to pink in warm climate. My doll is still in a box but with minimal dents since it was 1999 when i got it as a present from England.
I absolutely love the jewel hair mermaid dolls line. I was crazy enough to pay $CAD250 for Cristie and $150 for Teresa...I feel kind of guilty about the prices but I feel lucky to have them now considering how rare those two dolls are. I enjoyed the video. Keep the good work.

Magical Hair Mermaid (which was my first doll when I was a kid), Fantasy Mermaid Christie (which was the last doll I had when I turned into a teenager and stop collecting dolls) and specially Jewel Hair Mermaids which are, to me, the 90's Queens, because... Well, they already have the crowns! And yes, they become very expensive every day, especially the AA version, I was soooo damn lucky to have her second hand (and made her a reroot because her original hair was chopped off). I'm sooo happy that I have all four JH Mermaids! I'm looking now for an Ariel doll, because I never got any when I was a kid, considering I was obssesed with The Little Mermaid!

Does anyone know of a mermaid doll like #4 (16:00) the Fairytopia doll but with a color change tail? It might not be Barbie. My mom and I both remember that some aspect of the doll changed colors and I used to play with it in the bath tub. It’s tail and hair look SO SIMILAR to the Fairytopia doll. @@Barbination yes unfortunately many moves and I threw them out too much “stuff” some moves weren’t cause I wanted to move but had to. 😭 But I loved seeing a video had a good portion of some of my dolls in it. Made me appreciate them a little more. ❤️Especially when you said the one is rare or hard to find. I bought Magical Mermaid Barbie and Krissy when they arrived in stores. I display them on the counter near my bathroom. My favorite mermaids are the Jewel Hair Mermaid dolls. I have Teresa and Midge, as well as Barbie, but getting Christie to complete the set? Way to costly now. I bought the thress when they came out. Christie wasn't on the shelf and though I looked for her, never was able to get her when they were in the stores. I was able to buy the complete collection the Mermaid Fantasy dolls.

@@Barbination yes unfortunately many moves and I threw them out too much “stuff” some moves weren’t cause I wanted to move but had to. 😭 But I loved seeing a video had a good portion of some of my dolls in it. Made me appreciate them a little more. ❤️Especially when you said the one is rare or hard to find. I never thought much of her I actually won her almost 20 years ago in a mermaid lot on eBay so I never had her box. But many I did I just unboxed them and kept their boxes.

I bought Magical Mermaid Barbie and Krissy when they arrived in stores. I display them on the counter near my bathroom. My favorite mermaids are the Jewel Hair Mermaid dolls. I have Teresa and Midge, as well as Barbie, but getting Christie to complete the set? Way to costly now. I bought the thress when they came out. Christie wasn't on the shelf and though I looked for her, never was able to get her when they were in the stores. I was able to buy the complete collection the Mermaid Fantasy dolls.
